405 Freeway Closures Today Prompt Traffic Delays

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – 405 Freeway closures today will prompt traffic delays. Sections of the 405 San Diego Freeway will close at 7 pm PST tonight November 29, 2011 as sections of the “Sunset Segment” of the 1-405 Improvement Project takes a new step, officials tell news.
Construction crews confirm to news that they will be closing the northbound 405 Freeway between Getty Center Drive and Ventura Boulevard starting tonight. The ramps will close at 7 pm and the freeway lanes will close no early than 10 pm.
But the bad news doesn’t end there. The closure could last for multiple nights. Meantime, officials confirm to news that the same conditions will be in place for the southbound lanes starting this Saturday night.
The I-405 Sepulveda Pass Improvements Project has utilized social media to update travelers about news of new, daily closures. But with so many closures revealed to news every twenty-four hours, it’s often hard for travelers to determine each segment to avoid.
