Staples High School Football Coach Suspended

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – Staples High School has suspended its assistant coach on its freshman football team. The Staples High School football coach is under investigation for allegedly giving football players access to a website showing conduct only suitable for adults.

Staples High School officials are investigating claims that the football coach allegedly prepared his students for football games by giving them a user name and password to the adult website to see videos for free. Officials would not confirm how many students witnessed the videos.

The Westport police department and the superintendant of schools are handling the investigation. The coach is not allowed to contact students currently. The matter was alerted to school officials Tuesday.

Westport Police Capt. Sam Arciola tells news that the investigation began Wednesday. Superintendent of Schools Elliot Landon confirms the investigation but would not reveal the coach’s name. “We are investigating this matter fully,” Landon said in a news statement yesterday.
