Texas Earthquake Today Felt Outside San Antonio

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – A Texas earthquake today was felt outside San Antonio. The Texas earthquake struck today November 12, 2011 before dawn. No reports of injuries have been detailed by local news.
Shortly after 4:30 am local time today, a 3.3 magnitude earthquake struck southern Texas, USGS indicates to news. The quake had a nominal depth. The epicenter of today’s quake was only three miles below the earth’s surface, USGS delineates to news. As a result the quake was felt across a marginal section of the state.
The quake struck forty-four miles south of San Antonio. The quake was west of Beeville and fifty miles east of Pearsall. The Texas earthquake was roughly one hundred miles south of Austin, reports local news.

Earthquakes in the region, centered north of the state, have been frequent since last Saturday. As many as two dozen earthquakes have made news since last Saturday centered north west of today’s epicenter, in Oklahoma.
Today’s earthquake was centered east of interstate 37. It was north west of Corpus Christi, west of Victoria, north west of George West. USGS indicates to news that the quake was centered closest to Christine, Texas, east of the 281 and west of the 123 entering into Kames City. No reports of damage have yet to be detailed by local news.
In related news, a strong earthquake struck Venezuela during the night. A 5.0 earthquake struck off the cost of Venezuela. But because it was out in the water, and had an epicenter of nearly fifty miles below the earth’s surface, impact on mainland Venezuela was reportedly not significant. The quake was nineteen miles from Guiria and sixty-five miles west of Port-of-Spain, Trinidad.
