LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – “Real Housewives of Detroit” with “Beavis and Butt-Head” are heading to MTV, literally. Real Housewives of Detroit (video below) is not coming to Bravo; but Beavis and Butt-Head wants them on their network. A lot of things have changed on television since the acclaimed series left MTV. There’s been a Countess, a Bethenny, and even a Giggy. But this week, the usually politically incorrect duo debuted a new video commercial that is turning head, and may end up flipping tables.
A new commercial hitting MTV tonight features Beavis and Butt-Head promoting their return to cable television. During the commercial, a series of female singers are depicted. The duo exclaims “I’m lost. Is this Real Housewives of Detroit?”
Ironically, even though Beavis and Butt-Head are lost, so too were Beverly Hills Housewives this month. When asked who is a famous rapper, Kim Richards responded “Brad Pitt”. And when trying to explain who Winston Churchill is, Brandi Glanville re-wrote history books with her bizarre remark. Last season on New Jersey Housewives, Teresa Giudice, who claims to know her way around the kitchen, called a notable spice “cumin”.
MTV is expecting a storm when Beavis and Butt-Head return. But don’t ask Giudice to described any upcoming storm. She calls a “Nor’easter” storm a “Norwegian”.
