LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Cindi Santana funeral fundraising efforts are drawing support from businesses around the Southland. Cindi Santana representatives tell followers that the family is still in need of assistance for her funeral expenses. Fundraising efforts will commence with two new offerings starting tomorrow Friday and Saturday, representatives tell news.
The Santana family in a statement this week said, contrary to news reports, “the funeral services have not been paid for by the school district.” It added that “the family is still in need of funds to cover this tremendous expense.”
As to fundraising, a fund has been set up through South Gate Police Dept. Donations are being accepted at Cindi’s school, and online on Facebook. The family has already set up a contact person at firstname.lastname@example.org to assist with questions about making donations and attending fundraisers.
Local Southern California businesses have been helping as well. “Carniceria Guadalajara located at 9715 Long Beach Blvd. (Southwest corner of Missouri) in South Gate, has generously offered to donate the proceeds of their taco sales from 5pm to close beginning Friday October 7 through Friday October 14″ said the family.
On Saturday, a car wash is being offered at St. Emydius Church located in Lynwood, California. In a statement to news, organizers state “Hey you guys, well as well all know our community is suffering through a very difficult time.” “It’s up to us to help one another and especially those who are directly suffering through the loss of Cindi Santana” tell organizers to news.
