ST LOUIS (LALATE) – Wyoming cantaloupes have been found with listeria. Wyoming health officials confirm cantaloupes contaminated with listeria caused the death of a female resident on Friday. California cantaloupes have also been linked to listeria.

Wyoming officials have yet to the determine if the cantaloupe consumed by the woman was from Jensen Farms. If the cantaloupe did come from Jensen, this would be the tenth death linked to Jensen since the 2011 contamination begun.

Officials have previously told news that healthy adults do not face the threat of death if they consume the listeria contaminated cantaloupes. The persons most at risk are the elderly, persons with weak immune systems, and pregnant women.

The woman on Friday, however, was in the at-risk group. In addition to the fatalities, sixty people in fourteen states have grown ill from Jensen Farm grown cantaloupes.

On September 20, LALATE reported the Jensen was voluntarily recalling Rocky Ford Cantaloupe in California among other U.S. states today. While no one has died in California, contaminated cantaloupes have been found in California. The fruit was shipped between July 29 and September 10, 2011 .

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Chelsea Clinton has joined Alexander von Furstenberg on the IAC Board. Alexander von Furstenberg made news in 2009 when Reggie Miller claimed von Furstenberg hired a plane to fly over Malibu that read “Reggie Miller, stop pursuing married women”. Miller at the time battled allegations of text messages with Ali Kay, Alex von Furstenberg’s girlfriend. In 2009, reports claimed that fifty text messages were sent in a six hour period between Miller and Ali.

In a securities filing today, Clinton will join the IAC board as a new director. She will get a quarter million dollars in IAC shares and a $50,000 per year salary. Clinton is currently a student at Oxford University and is working at New York University, the Clinton Foundation and the Clinton Global Initiative.

Clinton joins Sonali De Rycker, Edgar Bronfram Jr, Michael Eisner, and Bryan Lourd. Last summer, Clinton married Clinton Mezvinsky.

President Clinton said, that since Chelsea began speaking, he had “been outnumbered” in his house but with a son-in-law “the playing field is even. I have someone else on my side.” Marc is the son of former Rep. Ed Mezvinsky, D-Iowa, and former Rep. Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinksy, D-Penn.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Brandi Glanville tonight prompts Eddie Cibrian, LeAnn Rimes, and Cedric Martinez tensions, along with a battle against Lisa VanderPump, all in her debut episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Bravo is not providing Cliff Notes in advance of Brandi Glanville’s debut appearance tonight, even though they really should have.

Glanville comes into the Bravo reality series tonight with four tensions, in one episode. Yet, it remains unclear how many of these storylines will play out initially or throughout the season.

Glanville first made news around March 18, 2009. A celebrity news magazine claimed that LeAnn Rimes was cheating on her husband Dean Sheremet (photos below) in an affair with Eddie Cibrian (pictures below) . LeAnn and Eddie met while filming new Lifetime made for TV film Northern Lights.

In March 2009, amid allegations that Rimes was falling for her co-star, Rimes issued the following news statement “This is a difficult time for me and my loved ones, but I appreciate all your continued support. I would like to assure all of you that this is a place for you to hear things directly from me and as you all know, not everything in our lives is always black and white.”

Over the next few weeks, Glanville went on a war of words against Eddie and LeAnn. In June of 2009, Brandi Glanville, Cibrian’s then wife, said of LeAnn the following. “LeAnn … refuses to leave us alone – it is shameful and scary. People are going to say it takes two to tango and I get that, but at some point LeAnn needs to stop asking him to dance.”

Glanville added “Eddie … has been an absentee father. Eddie’s displays of poor taste have hurt our two children”. Her insults didn’t end there. “Eddie is a compulsive liar, cheater and a home wrecker.”

Second, Brandi Glanville is bringing back another tension tonight, Cedric Martinez. Last season on Twitter Cedric referenced himself as the “7th Real Housewife of Beverly Hills”. Lisa will tell viewers tonight that Brandi is alleged friends with Cedric.

Lisa has previously told news that she felt she was taken advantage of by Cedric. In a statement released on Bravotv.com in January, Lisa wrote “I am fully aware of my husband’s enthusiasm to have our house back to normal and Cedric move out, but it is not that simple. Did I feel at that time, shall we say, taken advantage of? Absolutely.” Cedric had told news last season “Nobody seems to care about the truth. I know who I am and what happened and that’s good enough for me.”

Lastly, Lisa tonight tells viewers that Brandi’s appearance will ruffle her feathers, all because of the Cedric connection. Last season Lisa said “I have to say I knew something wasn’t quite right, but when you open, not just your home, but every family situation, and basically your heart the only thing you want in return is undivided loyalty.”

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Adrienne Maloof and Kim Richards won’t reveal tonight if the Sacramento Kings are becoming the Los Angeles Royals or Anaheim Royals. But Adrienne Maloof and Kim Richards will reveal the behind the scenes tensions by the Maloof family in the final days of the last NBA season when a Kings move dominated news. It remains unclear if Bravo tonight will draw in basketball viewers. But the Bravo storyline will address one of the biggest controversies to rock the NBA season last year.

In April 2011, Joe and Gavin Maloof headed to New York to make a pitch the NBA Board of Governors. At the meeting, they discussed a possible move of the Kings to Los Angeles or Anaheim. At the same time, Sacramento Mayor, and former basketball great, Kevin Johnson was arguing that the Kings should not move at all.

On April 14 LALATE reported news that the Maloffs had informed the NBA that they were considering a move. But while tonight the tensions rise between the Housewives, the tensions between cities and the Maloofs were also real in April.

At the time, Sacramento officials told Anaheim officials to condition the Anaheim bond agreement with the Maloofs upon a Maloof repayment of Sacramento’s bond, first. Anaheim officials were not pleased, telling Sacramento officials to back off.

It remains unclear if Bravo’s Andy Cohen will tonight explore all the facets of the behind the scenes NBA tensions. But during a preview clip release to news, Adrienne Maloof en route to the Kings’ final game tells the camera that the situation was stressful.  Maloof says “I don’t think she [Kim Richards] really understands how intense this can be for me”.

The team eventually decided against relocation, for now. But the Kings have reportedly expressed that they will move to Anaheim or elsewhere for the 2012-2013 season if a Sacramento deal is not reached. As previously detailed by LALATE, news reports claim that Maloofs’ attorneys have filed trademark applications for the words “Los Angeles Royals” and the “Anaheim Royals”.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – The SS Gairsoppa, a German U-Boat from 1941, has been found. On board the SS Gairsoppa was tons of silver. British news reports the SS Gairsoppa marks the biggest recovery of precious metals ever. The discovery was made by Odyssey Marine, a U.S. company. Odyssey Marine will retain eighty percent of the money recovered; the Department for Transport will get the remaining percentage.

While the Odyssey Marine confirmed news of the silver discovery in a briefing today, the company reports that the ship was found last summer off the coast of Ireland. But only last week was the discovered ship identified as being the SS Gairsoppa, local news indicates.

In advance of the discovery, researchers anticipated that the silver was on board. Their belief was based upon a Lloyd’s War Losses document prepared in 1941.

The document released to news bares the entry “Gairsoppa”, with “tons gross” listed at 5237. The ship’s position was additionally indicated as “about three hundred miles southwest of Galway Bay”. Under “cargo”, the document listed “2600 tons pig iron, 1765 tons of tea; and 2369 tons of general.” The document goes on to report that the “general” includes “silver ingots”.

An appraisal value for the silver was listed as of 1941 at $931,000. The total contents are now valued at $233 million. For photos, click HERE and HERE.
