LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – A Patriot High School shooting today prompted a lockdown. The Patriot High School shooting in Jurupa was a murder suicide shooting, confirms officials to news. No students nor teachers were injured today. The motive behind the double shooting remains unknown.

Officials tell news that at 10:40 am a man shot a female in the parking lot at Jurupa Valley’s Patriot High School. Moments later he killed himself. When officials responded, they found him dead, on top of the female’s body.

The female was a volunteer at the school. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department immediately put the school onto lockdown. A search of the campus thereafter confirmed that no students nor teachers were in danger.

Cpl. Courtney Donowho, Riverside County sheriff’s spokeswoman, told KTLA today “We have no students injured”. Donowho added “We are telling parents they will be able to go to the corner of Camino Real and Jurupa Road”. The lockdown was removed later in the day. The campus is expected to be back to normal tomorrow for classes.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Samantha Geimer was a double victim of Roman Polanski, the director told news this week. Polanski believes that Samantha Gailey aka Samantha Geimer (photos below) was a victim by him and a victim also by prosecutors / press years later.

The 1977 Roman Polanski case was being pursued yet again by U.S. prosecutors last year. But Geimer wanted the case to be dropped. At first, the Swiss Justice Ministry ruled Polanski should remain in jail, deeming Polanski a high risk to flee, much as he did in 1977.

Yet, Geimer in 2009 told the court in a written statement she opposed any continuation of the matter.  “If Polanski cannot stand before the court to make this request, I, as the victim, can and I, as the victim do. I have urged that this matter come to a formal legal end. I have urged that the district attorney and the court dismiss these charges.”

Ultimately, Geimer’s wishes were met, not because of a change by U.S. prosecutors but because of a Swiss court ruling. In July, Swiss Justice Minister Eveline Widmer-Schlumpf ruled that “He’s a free man”. Polanski could not face extradition to California for the 1977 case, the Swiss court decided.

This week, Polanski told news that Geimer has been a double victim. “She [Samantha Geimer] is a double victim: my victim and a victim of the press.” His comments were made to news during a screening of a documentary at the Zurich Film Festival 2011. He added “But I’m happy to be here, because I know that it was not only a blow to me, to my family, but also to the festival itself. It’s a very moving moment for me.”

Geimer told a Los Angeles court previously “… I am no longer a 13-year-old child. I have dealt with the difficulties of being a victim, have surmounted and surpassed them with one exception.” She added “Every time this case is brought to the attention of the Court, great focus is made of me, my family, my mother and others. That attention is not pleasant to experience and is not worth maintaining over some irrelevant legal nicety, the continuation of the case.”

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Christina McLarty (photos below) and David Arquette are getting serious. Christina McLarty last dominated news after her engagement to Joe Francis (GGW). McLarty has been with CBS2 KCAL9 Los Angeles since 2007.

McLarty split from Francis last November after seven months of marriage. Now David confirms to news that the two are in love. “She’s adorable. I’m not one to run around with different girls. I like someone that makes me feel good and that I can make feel good.”

This week, David Arquette faced possible elimination from Dancing with the Stars after he and Kym Johnson delivered a lackluster dance. Len said “The technique wasn’t there.” Bruno was surprised the team was so bad. He said they lost “a lot of technique”. And Carrie Ann said “you were too loose”. David earned an eighteen. In the end, David avoided elimination. Elisabetta Canalis was instead sent home last night.

McLarty is from Arkansas. She worked in KATV Little Rock before her Texas transfer. She is a graduate of NYU, former intern for MTV, E! and Hilary Clinton. LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Ashton Kutcher is battling not just Brittney Jones but two other women claiming to be mistresses as well. Ashton Kutcher will face affair allegations in the latest issue of the Star from a second alleged mistress; its sister company RadarOnline reports that yet a third woman is claiming to be his mistress as well.

The third woman allegedly claims that she had an affair with Kutcher last Friday but by Tuesday she retained an attorney. Why? “She is freaking out” reports a “pal”. It remains unclear from the report why the third woman claims she is “freaking out” and why she rushed to an attorney.

As to the second woman, her name has not been revealed. But it will be disclosed along with her allegations on supermarket shelves this week. The allegations will be printed in the Star. The issue published today claims Kutcher and Demi Moore have already broke up.

When news of Jones hit in September last year, PEOPLE reported that the couple allegedly “have instructed loved ones not to inquire: “Kind of a ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ policy” claims the magazine.

Jones’ allegations hit the Star Magazine as well. In her first Star Magazine interview, Brittney Jones said Kutcher was “very considerate and sweet. And it was very special to me. I felt totally comfortable in his arms. It was tender and nice–not some random … act.”

Kutcher denied the allegations that summer, Demi tweeted “Excellent point my love” and posted bikini pictures of herself. Kutcher issued the following denial to news in September 2010. “Star Magazine continuously publishes lies about Ashton Kutcher and many other celebrities. This is not the first, nor will it be the last time they engage in reckless conduct.”

The magazine claims allegedly texts between Kutcher and Jones included “When’s the next time you’re gonna have an empty house?” “Not sure maybe the end of the month.”

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – A moderate earthquake struck east of Reno, Nevada this morning. The earthquake was centered near Lovelock, Nevada east and struck before sunrise. No reports of damage have been detailed by local news.

Shortly before 5 am PST today, a 3.9 magnitude earthquake struck east of Reno, USGS reports to news. The quake struck however at virtually no depth, reports news. The quake’s epicenter was only two miles below the earth’s surface.

The earthquake was centered twelve miles northeast of Dixie Valley and thirty-three miles south east of Lovelock. It was also west of Petersons Mill and roughly one hundred miles west of Reno.

The quake was centered east of Interstate 80 and west of highway 50 in a sparsely populated area. The quake was east of Humboldt State Wildlife Management Area. It was north east of Patrick, Wadsworth and Femly. No reports of injuries have been given.

In related news, a 3.1 earthquake struck yesterday afternoon in Big Bear Lake. The 3.1 quake struck 6 miles from Big Bear City and nine miles from the Lucerne Valley. It was also centered twenty-two miles northeast of San Bernardino. Local news has not yet indicated any damages.
