Patriot High School Shooting Prompts Lockdown

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – A Patriot High School shooting today prompted a lockdown. The Patriot High School shooting in Jurupa was a murder suicide shooting, confirms officials to news. No students nor teachers were injured today. The motive behind the double shooting remains unknown.
Officials tell news that at 10:40 am a man shot a female in the parking lot at Jurupa Valley’s Patriot High School. Moments later he killed himself. When officials responded, they found him dead, on top of the female’s body.
The female was a volunteer at the school. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department immediately put the school onto lockdown. A search of the campus thereafter confirmed that no students nor teachers were in danger.
Cpl. Courtney Donowho, Riverside County sheriff’s spokeswoman, told KTLA today “We have no students injured”. Donowho added “We are telling parents they will be able to go to the corner of Camino Real and Jurupa Road”. The lockdown was removed later in the day. The campus is expected to be back to normal tomorrow for classes.
