LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – A new season 7 of Criss Angel Mindfreak was not included in the A&E news statement about its fall lineup. Criss Angel Mindfreak last dominated news over the summer when unconfirmed reports claimed the new season was debuting August 3, 2011. Those reports were later verified as false.
A series of websites and fans were confused last month after false reports claimed that episode one of season 7 would debut August 3. One fan wrote “Is there really going to be a season 7, because August 3rd is next week?” Other fans simply wrote “he said on his Twitter page as soon as he gets the go ahead he will announce it.”
And yet, Angel remains silent. After posting a message to fans on Facebook within the last hour, a series of fans have asked Angel the same question. “When are you going to make a new episode of Mindfreak?” In June, fans asked Criss the same question, one writing it was the “best show [on television].”
A&E has yet to comment on the series. In recent news statements, it does not mention the series among its “signature…franchises”. Rather the network states that “A&E offers a diverse mix of high quality entertainment ranging from the network’s original scripted series, including “The Glades” and “Breakout Kings,” to signature non-fiction franchises, including the Emmy-winning “Intervention,” “Dog the Bounty Hunter,” “Hoarders,” “Billy the Exterminator” and “Storage Wars” .”
