LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Is Wesley Sneijder getting traded to Manchester United? The final hours that a Wesley Sneijder Manchester United deal can be consummated are upon us today. But Sneijder tells news that he, has in the past, made deals even faster. So does a new twitter post by Wesley Sneijder’s wife suggest that a deal has already been made to move to Manchester United? And what did David Gill recently tell news about Man United’s transfer plans this month?

Yolanthe recently issued the following statement that could hint the fate of today’s trade deadlines: “I follow my husband wherever he goes.. love him till death! Have a great evening you all!”

So is Wesley heading to Man United? Not according to recent comments by Chief executive David Gill. Gill told news recently that he doesn’t see anymore trades in the immediate future for Manchester United. “I don’t think there will be another arrival,” he told news just days ago. “We’ve looked at various players but we’re very comfortable with our squad. We’ve made some great additions in the summer and we’ve got a young, vibrant squad.”

He added that he thought his team is far more than “well equipped for the months ahead”. Gill additionally remarked that Sir Alex Ferguson is content with the players he has as well. “Alex will get the best out of the players over the season.”

Ferguson previously told news he is happy with his current squad. But he also added that he was surprised Chelsea and Arsenal had not opened their pockets more for transfer bids this summer.

And what does Wesley think of Man United? He told news yesterday “At this point I don’t think I will move. But, on the other hand, my move to Real Madrid was solved within eight hours.” He added “Things can move fast,” Sneijder said yesterday, giving fans hope that a deal could still be on the cards for the Inter Milan playmaker.

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – A Fleetwood Mac new tour is expected for 2012 says Lindsey Buckingham. But could a new album be in the works as well? Buckingham says Fleetwood Mac will go on tour next year, a similar comment recently made by Stevie Nicks to news. Nicks also suggested an album could also arrive within months.

Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham both tell news that, when their solo albums are finishing taking their course, then Fleetwood Mac will hit the road. Nicks recently said “When my album and Lindsey’s albums come to a stop, then Fleetwood Mac will gather again and we’ll either make another record or we won’t and we’ll just go on tour.”

Lindsey had much the same comment in a news interview this week. “We’re doing something for sure. I wouldn’t be shocked if it was a tour and possibly an album.” Which one will it be? “We’ll have to wait and see. Nothing is on the books right now.”

He said the decision is just months away. “With Fleetwood Mac, there’s a lot of landmines out there politically and it’s hard to get everybody on the same page at the same time – but I think this might be one of those years where everyone will want to do the same thing. Whatever that is.”

He also indicates that Buckingham Nicks, the 1973 LP, could soon be heading to CD. “We have every intention of putting that album back out and possibly even doing something along with it, but I can’t put any specifics on that.”

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – My Chemical Romance reveals a new album is heading to the studio later this year. My Chemical Romance tells news this week that new songs are being written daily and that they expect the group to begin recording the songs later in 2011.

Gerard Way tells Gigwise.com that the group is in a better place than there were several years earlier. Gerard said that the dynamics of the band were previously off, and that music then being created “went against everything about the band that was great.”

And yet, Way says that the songs being written now “every day” validate the group’s purpose “like having ambition, being ambitious, being visual, being artists, being excited, being free, reckless and rock ‘n’ roll.” In the past “That stuff was gone and what was in its place was really boring.”

He says that band members are no longer acting like “it’s about me”. Rather “now the band is in such a healthy place” he adds. No release date is confirmed yet to news. “We’re writing music every day at the moment, which was something that wasn’t happening on ‘Black Parade’.”

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Fidel Castro is not dead. An Argentinean website is claiming that a Chilean news site is to blame for fake Fidel Castro death reports today; yet the Chilean site denies every reporting about Castro. Moreover, Miami news is reporting tonight that Fidel Castro fake death reports were spread via Twitter messages, adding that the source of the initial story is still unknown. The fake death reports comes just weeks after Jackie Chan, Chingy, Chris Brown and even Beyonce were all falsely reported as dead.

While fake celebrity death reports are usually reserved for rappers and pop singers, Fidel Castro multiple times has been the subject of such reports. For example, fake Fidel Castro death reports manifested online on November 18, 2009. LALATE reported at the time that the reports made no sense, stating “On Sunday afternoon, it began with a [fake] Miley Cyrus [death] report. By evening, Taylor Swift. By Monday, Lady GaGa. And by Tuesday, Brock Lesnar. Now in day four, it’s Fidel Castro?”

Most recently, to convince fans that Beyonce had died, an author took a screengrab of a leading national news site, inserted Beyonce’s image and text into the picture, and retweeted the message as a twitpit. Last month, Adam Sandler’s fake death report followed yet another Global Associated story. Sandler was falsely reported dead from another infamous Zermatt ski accident, a fate previously given to other celebrities. “Witnesses indicate that [he] lost control of his snowboard and struck a tree at a high rate of speed” claimed the false report at the time.

In fact, Castro himself was once erroneously reported dead by Global Associated. That fake death report claimed Castro didn’t die in Cuba, but in Denver, crashing at the so-called “Denver Peak Regional Airport”. The website uses a template. Hence, the Castro story was just a tad unbelievable, stating “Actor, Fidel Castro was believed to have been a passenger on the flight”.

But of course, the more memorable erroneous story might have been Global Associated’s allegation that Fidel Castro was once arrested for shoplifting; “authorities documented in a police report that Fidel Castro entered the Classy & Sassy boutique at approximately 11:15 a.m.” claimed the crazy report.

Tonight, across Latin American news, an Argentina site is blaming a Chilean news site for starting the false death reports about Castro. The Miami Herald is additionally reporting that Cuban dissident and blogger Yoani Sánchez doesn’t know if Castro is alive or dead. “My phone hasn’t stopped ringing. Everybody is asking me if it’s true that Fidel Castro is very sick,” she tweeted Tuesday afternoon. “I DON’T KNOW, and if it were true, we Cubans would be the last ones to find out.” And does today mark the four year anniversary of another infamous false report that Castro had died? That too is wrong; the original report wasn’t on August 30 but August 24, 2007.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Is Carte Blanche aka James Bond 23 debuting November, 2012 with Daniel Craig? Carte Blanche is the name of the new James Bond film (23rd in the series) and third for Craig, claims a new report issued this week. An allegedly accidental slip in the south of France to news reporters revealed both the name and plotline for a film once thought shelved and not in production. But now, reports claim that Carte Blanche will be the title, the setting will be predominately on a train, and Sam Mendes will reportedly release the film on November 9, 2012.

But is this all true? Blic Online without much fanfare recently was reporting on Jelena Mihailovic, a cellist allegedly asked to score the opening on the next Bond film.

The news site reported “At one of the many concerts the musician held in France during the Cannes Film Festival, the producers and the director of the next Bond film were in the audience, who were staggered by what they had heard and on the spot offered Jelena a chance to write the opening score for the new James Bond film, entitled Carte Blanche.”

Moreover, the next James Bond novel is also titled Carte Blanche and is authored by Jeffrey Deaver. That title and artwork debuted this January. The storyline puts Bond born in 1979 and a veteran of the war in Afghanistan (Operation Herrick) not World War II as conceived by Ian Fleming. Moreover, reports claim that the film will also be released November 9, 2012. Producers have yet to comment about the news.
