Bill O'Reilly Denies Maureen McPhilmy O'Reilly, Cop Accusations

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Bill O’Reilly is denying a story that claims he had law enforcement investigate a cop he allegedly believed his wife Maureen McPhilmy O’Reilly was having an affair with. FOX News today calls a bizarre Gawker story about Bill O’Reilly, Maureen McPhilmy O’Reilly, an unnamed cop, and the Nassau County Police Department a work of fiction. In fact, FOX says that the Gawker has been fabricating stories for several years.

In a statement to news today, FOX says the latest accusation about O’Reilly are false. “Gawker has been lying about Fox News for several years and we are not going to dignify this with any further comment.” The Gawker article claims that O’Reilly “pulled strings to get the police department’s internal affairs unit to investigate one of their own for messing with the wrong man’s lady”, aka Maureen McPhilmy O’Reilly.

The report claims that McPhilmy has yet to comment about the accusations. Just days ago, Fox & Friends‘ Steve Doocy claimed that Gawker had lost 75% of its traffic since last season. The website responded at the time that the accusations were false. “Don’t they realize that we thrive on a good media fight?” adding that Fox was allegedly “playing by a playbook”.
