LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Hilary Duff is pregnant. She and Mike Comrie are expecting their first child, they tell news today. In August of last year, the couple married. Now almost one year to the day, the couple are ready for their first child.

Duff met Comrie when she was 19 during a plane flight. He told news at the time “We were all on the same plane and it was kind of, I guess, maybe a bit of a fluke. She calls it ironic. No I’m kidding!. It [was] one of those things where we were all in a group … we spent the weekend all hanging out.”

Today Duff issued a news statement confirming her pregnancy. “This weekend, Mike and I are celebrating our 1 year anniversary! In memory of the special day, we decided to post some of our favorite pictures from our wedding”.

Duff also noted that she had exciting news beyond her one year anniversary. “I can’t believe it has already been a year, time really flies when you’re having fun! We also want to share the exciting news that”. She added “Baby makes three! We are extremely happy and ready to start this new chapter of our lives. Thanks to everyone for the continued love and support throughout the years!”

The couple married in August 2010 in Santa Barbara after Mike proposed to her with a $1 million engagement ring. Duff wore Vera Wang for her wedding.
