Caribbean Airlines Flight BW523 Crash – Passengers Safe in Guyana

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Caribbean Airlines Flight 523 has crashed at a Guyana Airport this weekend. Caribbean Airlines Flight 523 or BW523 confirms no fatalities and all passengers safe after it was involved in a crash Saturday; the Airline has yet to use any word beyond “incident” to describe the trouble Saturday. The plane was landing at Cheddi Jaggan an International Airport in Guyana when the aircraft crashed, and broke into two.
Upon arrival, Caribbean Airlines deployed full emergency services both on board and at the airport. “The airline’s primary concern at this time is for those on board the aircraft and their families” said a news statement today.
All one hundred fifty-seven passengers and six crew members are safe. Caribbean Airlines confirms not fatalities. But it could not detail if there were any injuries. “Passengers are still receiving medical attention and we are working closely with the local medical services available in Guyana” it told news today.
Earlier today, the airlines confirmed that the trouble erupted as the Boeing 737-800 was traveling en route from Port of Spain, Trinidad to Georgetown, Guyana. “There were no fatalities. Caribbean Airlines immediately activated its emergency response programme and is in direct contact with the relevant authorities. “
