LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – A Braylon Edwards Vikings or Rams fit is being pursued. Braylon Edwards won’t be returning to the Jets, local news reported Saturday. Now Edwards’ possible future could be with the Vikings and Rams, some news reports claim; others assert that the Bears, Titans and Redskins seem possible.
Braylon Edwards’ end with the Jets followed the team’s signing of Plaxico Burress this weekend. Immediately, possible landing spots for Edwards grew from two locations to six. The Vikings, Titans, Bears and Redskins were on the short list of the New York Daily News’ Gary Myers.
Edwards reportedly knew his time with the Jets was over after a Wednesday deal with Santonio Holmes was announced. The team gave Holmes a five year deal worth $50 million. Edwards responded via Twitter. “I would love to be a Jet but the feeling doesn’t seem to be mutual with the management.” He later deleted the Twitter message and wrote “Will always love jets nation no matter what happens.”
Multiple reports claim his most likely landing spot will be the Vikings or Rams.
