LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Giovanni Ramirez battled not one but multiple witnesses during his police lineup revealed Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck Thursday. On Wednesday, LAPD confirmed Giovanni Ramirez was included in a police lineup but said details of that lineup would not be released to news. On Thursday, results of that lineup were leaked to news with reports claiming Ramirez was identified in the lineup. But now new words by Beck Thursday give more insight into the LAPD case.

Initially, news had thought a sole witness picked out Giovanni Ramirez from the lineup. According to Beck’s comments today, that is reportedly not the case. Beck accidentally told news today that “people” were involved with the lineup, not a sole witness and that “they” participated in observing Ramirez following admonishments. Beck’s comments today included “We don’t believe the people involved with the lineup saw the photo”. He added that “we believe there are admonishments and instructions through the lineup process which would preclude that photo had they seen it, from influencing their decision”.

Beck have yet to indicate if Ramirez was picked out of the line by all the “people” or just one person. Giovanni Ramirez’s attorneys did not discuss the results of the lineup with news today.

Giovanni Ramirez, however, says he is prepared to produce at least eight witnesses on his behalf. He claims the witnesses will assert that he was in his East Hollywood apartment in 800 block of Mariposa when Bryan Stow (aka Brian Stow) was beaten. Ramirez claims he has witnesses that remained with him all day in the apartment and has other witnesses / friends who remained at the game all day without him.

Ramirez is on parole. He has yet to be charged in the beating of Stow. He is in custody on a suspicion of parole violation and being held on a $1 million bail. His parole hearing is schedule reportedly next week. If he is found to have not violated parole, Giovanni Ramirez will have to be released if the District Attorney’s Office still does not file charges.

Beck last Sunday, without referring to Giovanni Ramirez by name, called him a “thug”. Beck has also said “A significant, significant break and it will lead to a successful prosecution, I’m sure.”

Ramirez’s alleged game name was “Bug Daddy Laine”, he was previously accused of association with the Varrio Nuevo Estrada (VNE) gang and carries a tear drop tattoo near his left eye.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Mildred Patricia Baena’s ex husband wants to take “his” son to Colombia. Mildred Patricia Baena was furious at her ex husband over a news interview with Entertainment Tonight two nights ago. But last night, Baena’s ex-husband, Rogelio de Jesus Baena, was back for the second part. This time he tells news that he wants to take “his” son away and back to Colombia with him.

Rogelio de Jesus Baena by some reports is Mildred Patricia Baena’s second ex-husband. Baena was reportedly first married to Humberto Rozo with whom she had two children, Jerry Rozo and Jacqueline Rozo. Jackie Rozo this morning appeared on news defending her mother. During her marriage to Rogelio de Jesus Baena, a Colombian, the Guatemalan housekeeper had an affair with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

On the love child’s birth certificate, Mildred Patricia Baena listed her name as Mildred Patricia Peña instead. For the child’s father, she listed on the birth certificate her then husband Rogelio de Jesus Baena.

Years later, in her divorce from the Colombian, Mildred Patricia Baena told a California Divorce Court that Jesus had no children with her during her marriage.

Last night, Mildred Patricia Baena’s ex-husband was speaking out again. Rogelio de Jesus Baena, with the backdrop of over-orchestrated super suspense music provided by ET, was asked by the news interviewer. “How do you feel about Maria [Shriver]?”. He replied “Now Maria is destroyed… Sad, very sad.” When questioned “What would you want to say to Maria” he responded “I’m sorry. So sorry. Not my fault.”

Then, the interviewer asked Rogelio de Jesus Baena the powerful question “Did [Mildred] ever tell you that Arnold is the father?” His response was “She told me I am the true father.”

But in the divorce, Jesus knew it was not his son. Baena’s rep is furious at the executive producer of Entertainment Tonight. They claim Jesus knew the child was not his at the time of the divorce and that he demanded that the provision about indicating he was not the father be put into the divorce papers.

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – The Bishop Eddie Long scandal is over. The Eddie Long scandal, that began with bathroom cellphone pictures and moved to lawsuits filed by Maurice Robinson, Jamal Parris, Anthony Flagg and Spencer LeGrande against the Bishop and New Birth ministry, has been resolved with the parties reaching a global settlement. Barbara Marschalk, attorney for New Birth Missionary Baptist Church and LongFellows Youth Academy, and B.J. Bernstein, attorney for the four young men, confirmed the matter has reached a settlement today.

Neither side is confirming the terms of the settlement deal. But one clear provision is that neither side will ever talk about the matter, ever again. Both attorneys confirm to news that the sides have agreed to never discuss the matter again in public. The case had been set for a summer trial date.

The lawsuits had claimed that “Defendant Long uses monetary funds from the accounts of Defendant New Birth and Defendant Longfellows … to entice the chosen Spiritual Sons with cars, clothes, jewelry and electronics”. The allegations included that “Defendant Long’s Spiritual Sons are taken on public and private jets to U.S. and international destinations house in luxury hotels and given access to numerous celebrities including entertainment stars and politicians.”

Far before the scandal, the Bishop was the subject of spending accusations. As one minister from another Church told news at the time in 2007, “Like a carpenter has to have a hammer to do his job, I have a [private] plane to fly around the world.”

Dubbed often by news as the Bishop in the Bentley, Long was the subject of allegations by Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) years earlier. “I’m worried that a few people are confusing the ringing of a church bell with the ringing of a cash register” said Grassley. “When I hear about leaders of charities being provided a $300,000 Bentley to drive around in, my fear is that it’s the taxpayers who subsidize this charity who are really being taken for a ride” said Grassley. Long denied any wrongdoing.

In recent months, Long’s church launched a new billboard which read in all caps the message “LOVE, LIVE, LEAD LIKE HIM” with a flexing Eddie Long appearing in a form-fitting shirt alongside. “I wouldn’t do the way he is doing like he is doing like….” said one resident when interviewed by WTVM. The resident thought the use of a billboard campaign during a scandal was highly inappropriate. “Love Live Lead Like Him? I can’t see it.”

Long had said of allegations against him “I am not going to try this case in the media”. Long after the scandal said that today’s society is too busy being connected with each other online. “Your spiritual battery is dead. We are too busy to get connected”.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Giovanni Ramirez (photos below) could get a new prison sentence next week. Giovanni Ramirez was the subject of a news update by LAPD Thursday midday at which local news learned that Ramirez could be possibly heading back to state prison. As Los Angeles residents try to sift through the confusion spread by the LAPD since Sunday’s news conference and the multiple news statements by Ramirez’s two defense attorneys this week, there is a completely new twist to the Ramirez case: a parole hearing next week.

If Giovanni Ramirez wasn’t on parole, he would have been free by now, not charged yet in the Bryan Stow (aka Brian Stow) case. But Ramirez is on parole from state prison for a non-violent offense. So when LAPD issued a warrant for his arrest last weekend, they took him into custody on suspicion of a parole violation.

What is the alleged parole violation? Neither LAPD nor Ramirez’s defense attorneys have yet to speak on the matter. Earlier this week, LALATE reported that Giovanni Ramirez has appeared at two parole officer meetings since the Bryan Stow beating.

In one meeting, the parole officer allegedly determined that Ramirez was allegedly not residing at the home listed in his parole report. When Giovanni Ramirez was arrested last weekend in the 800 block of Mariposa in East Hollywood, news reports claimed that address is not listed in his parole file, rather an address nearby. Additionally, unconfirmed reports claimed that Ramirez began staying at the Mariposa address only recently.

Last night, Ramirez was picked out of a police lineup. Giovanni Ramirez has still not been charged with the beating of Stow. But a new report claims that Giovanni Ramirez will appear before a parole hearing next week to determine if he violated parole.

Reports claim that if he is found to be violation, Ramirez could be sent to state prison immediately, allowing LAPD more time to effectuate its investigation into the Stow case. As previously reported on LALATE, there are three witnesses being sought, a primary aggressor who Chief Beck reassured news today is in fact Ramirez, a second male, and a early twenties Latina who was the getaway driver.

Ramirez’s daughter today defended her father and said neither of them were at the game. Police have also said there was a child passenger in the car with the three suspects. Ramirez has a neck tattoo of the Dodgers’ logo.

Ramirez is allegedly on parole for the firing of a weapon in a public place (2005). The last conviction was the illegal firing a gun on New Years’ Eve into the air for celebrations. The event unfolded at a known gang residence for the Varrio Nuevo Estrada (VNE) claims reports. Ramirez has a teardrop tattoo near his left eye.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Mildred Patricia Baena’s daughter didn’t know her mother had a love child with Arnold Schwarzenegger until this month, she tells news. Mildred Patricia Baena’s daughter has previously spoken to news briefly about the mistress affair scandal that has captivated Latin and English speaking news channels. But in an new interview with NBC owned Spanish channel Telemundo, Jackie Rosso defends her mother. The news interview was rebroadcasted on the Today Show this morning.

Mildred Patricia Baena hasn’t spoken to the news since the scandal erupted. But her daughter Jackie says “My mother doesn’t need to justify herself”. In today’s news interview, Jackie called her mother a great parent and getting the complete support of her family.

The Today show’s report states that Roso admitted learning Mildred Patricia Baena and the former governor shared a love child only last week when the scandal erupted. Roso did not find fault with Baena keeping the secret for thirteen years.

Rather, she praised her mother. “She is like a superwoman pretty much. You know… she has always been with us, for me and my brothers.”

Roso said that, because of her mother’s support and love over the years, her entire family is behind her now through the watchful eye of international news media. “That’s why me and my brothers will always be for her. No matter what. My mother doesn’t need to justify herself.”

The Today Show broadcast highly edited the quick impromptu curbside interview, not including the questions but only including a montage of answers. But Roso says “It doesn’t matter what any newspaper says. I know my mother. It’s all … rumors.”

She added “I love my mom very much, and she’s a great inspiration for any woman out there, working for the kids.”

Jacqueline Rozo last week confirmed that her mother was a former employee of Arnold Schwarzenegger. As previously reported, Baena’s sister, Miriam Pena, said her sister was doing well. When asked about Maria Shriver, Miriam said her family has a lot of respect for the Shriver and Schwarzenegger family. Pena and her mother both allegedly worked with the Shriver-Schwarzenegger family during sometime in the last decade. Rozo’s father is Humberto Rozo who Baena was reportedly married to before Rogelio de Jesus Baena. It was during her marriage to Baena that the Schwarzenegger love child was born.
