ST LOUIS (LALATE) – On Dancing with the Stars tonight, Playboy’s Karina Smirnoff (photos below) didn’t ignite praise on the Viennese Waltz. For Smirnoff, Dancing with the Stars results have been very inconsistent in recent weeks, prompting many judges to remark disappointment followed by praise week to week. Tonight, Ralph and Karina on the Cha-Cha instant dance and later on the Viennese Waltz impressed judges, but still drew lackluster scores. But as we narrow our approach to the season finale’s top three, do predictions put Ralph and Karina getting to the finale?
Hines and Kym, and Chelsea and Mark, have remained the front runners this competition. Romeo and Chelsie, and Ralph and Karina Smirnoff, have battled the competition from the popular Kirstie and Maks. But tonight, Kirstie and Maks, who Kendra Wilkinson believes will win this season, tried their best to stay in the competition.
Karina and Ralph entered week seven in fourth place, only two points behind third place ranked Romeo and Chelsie. But that changed after Romeo and Chelsie scored a mere thirty, and Karina and Ralph soared with a thirty-six score.
Len loved it. “I like the energy” he remarked last week. “Your footwork was very, very good.” Len did find error in the upper body. Bruno also gave Karina and Ralph top reviews. “It was more the quickstep, it was how to grab a quick one at the speakeasy.” He added “Once you are in the zone, you sell it like nobody else can.” But Carrie Ann like news and fans said the pair was back in to win. “You’re back …This is the way I want to see you attack this competition.”
Romeo however was the one to watch tonight with inconsistency plaguing his recent weeks. Len remarked last week “You’ve gotta up your game.” Bruno agreed “There’s plenty of fire there” but wanted to see more. Carrie Ann was also not convinced. “There was a lot of bounce going on, but I don’t know if it was sending the samba message.”
In early results tonight, Karina and Ralph earned the worse scores of the night, a twenty-five. Len remarked “It lacked polish, and you only get polish with time.” Bruno called it “Vampire lovers” and Carrie Ann added “Tonight, once again, that spirit of Daniel Larusso lives again.” So far tonight, Chelsea Kane scored a twenty-nine on the waltz, Hines Ward impressed on the foxtrot with a twenty-eight, Romeo improved on the tango with a twenty-seven, and Kirstie dazzled on the tango with a twenty-eight.
