LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Osama Bin Laden is dead. Osama Bin Laden has been killed, President Barack Obama will confirm in a press conference scheduled for news tonight (live stream below). Details of the death of Osama Bin Laden have yet to be released by the White House. Within the hour, the White House confirmed the President will address the nation in a telecast that will stream online to confirm the death of Osama Bin Laden.

Unconfirmed reports from the BBC claims the U.S. is already in possession of Bin Laden’s body.

On the run since the Sept. 11, 2001 attack on the United States, Bin Laden has been hunted across international territories for years. The 9-11 attack killed 3,000 people and changed the way American handle international security, both domestically and internationally.

In 2009, Bin Laden issued a tape against Obama calling for a jihad against Israel. Bin Laden said in the 22 minute tape: “There is only one strong way to bring the return of Al-Aqsa and Palestine, and that is jihad in the path of God. The duty is to urge people to jihad brigades.”
