LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Oliver J. Miller formerly of the Phoenix Suns has been arrested. Oliver J. Miller was arrested after an alleged struggle with a local man at a BBQ last weekend.

Oliver J. Miller played with the Suns in the 1990s. But on Saturday, Miller was at a cookout when trouble erupted. Police responded to the cookout at roughly 8 pm local time. There Anne Arundel County police determined that Miller allegedly struck a man’s head with a firearm.

Witnesses told police that Miller allegedly had a disagreement with another cookout male. They claim that Miller drew his Glock firearm, and smacked the man’s head with it. Witnesses claim that Miller than left the scene in his BMW.

The victim is recovering at a local area hospital. Miller has yet to comment about the charges.

Miller was in the NBA from 1992 until 2005. He last played with the Minnesota Timberwolves for roughly ten minutes per game in the 2004 NBA Season. Miller was a 22nd overall pick by the Suns in the 1992 NBA Draft.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Krista Dittmeyer, 20, remains missing after her car and daughter Aliyah were found Monday. Krista Dittmeyer, 20, is now listed as a crime victim, reports FBI investigators. Krista’s car was found 6:30 am Saturday, still idling. In releasing details to news, FBI investigators and Conway police Lt. Chris Perley confirm that Krista search efforts will expand today with new search warrants issued.

Police believe that Krista did not leave her car in Cranmore Mountain voluntarily. It remains unclear why Krista was even in the region last weekend. But at 6:30 am Saturday, her car was found idling with her 14-month old daughter inside, safe, sleeping. The car’s hazard lights were on. Also inside was traces of Krista’s blood.

The black Nissan Sentra’s front door was open. And while cops have yet to tell news if they have suspects, a second car has been seized along with Krista’s cell phone records.

Dittmeyer is a resident of Portland. The reason for Krista’s drive 1 1/2 hours to Conway remains unclear. She last spoke to her family Friday night.

CORAL GABLES (LALATE) – A worker trapped inside the Flagship Hotel in Galveston has been rescued and rushed to a local area hospital. The Flagship Hotel was damaged in Hurricane Ike. But today, the hotel set to demolition previously partially collapsed.

Local news reports that shortly before 4 pm a worker was trapped inside debris after a section of the Galveston Hotel collapsed. A representative with the City of Galveston tells local news that the emergency response officials rescued the male worker and transported him to the hospital. The worker’s condition however is still unknown.

In October 2010, the owner of Galveston’s Flagship Hotel said that it was not going to replace the 225 room hotel. Landry’s Restaurants bought the hotel in 2005 for $500,000 and is currently planning a historic seawall with amusement park.

Following the injury today, the demolition site has been halted.

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – The Poplar Bluff levee has breached, in two spots, says news. The Poplar Bluff levee has broken prompting flooding fears to grow today. Poplar Bluff police Officer Daron House tells news that the levee’s first breach was in the southeast section of Poplar Bluff. A second breach has yet to be inspected.

Earlier today, officials confirmed that the Black River had begun pouring over the levee in dozens of locations. Now with the current breaches, more homes are being evacuated. One thousand homes were evacuated yesterday. Evacuation shelters have been set up at Black River Coliseum.

Poplar Bluff is home to seventeen thousand residents less than two hundred miles from St Louis. The town suffered six more inches of rain yesterday. Poplar Bluff Deputy police chief Jeff Rolland said Tuesday that the sandbags were added to the levee overnight.

The morning, Poplar Bluff police Office Daron House said that two breaches have been reported, prompting additional evacuations.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari are engaged. Jay Cutler (The Bears) Kristin Cavallari (The Hills) are engaged less than a year after the couple were spotted dating. Cavallari was spotted with Cutler after previously dating, whether real, fake, or Hills-created, Miguel Medina, Doug Reinhardt, and of course Brody Jenner.

Cutler has previously told news of his relationship with Cavallari “I’m so busy with football and [offensive coordinator] Mike [Martz] and stuff it’s just hard to catch up with that. The only way I hear about it is if my sister tells me. Yeah, we’re going well. It’s working out so far.”

Kristin last appeared in a fake TV relationship with Brody Jenner for MTV. “Nothing you see on TV is real. Fans need to understand it’s all entertainment. It’s all in fun. I would never put my close friends or a real relationship on a show.”

Just months ago, she answered questions about her then Hills cameraman Miguel Medina. Ryan Seacrest had asked her “How do you date the camera guy? How does that even start?” “Well, you’re together all the time,” responded Cavallari. “It just sort of happens.”

In January, Kristin Cavallari helped out Jay’s Cutler Foundation and its work with children. The Jay Cutler Foundation seeks to improve the “quality of life of underprivileged children and those suffering from diabetes”. Cutler helped use the 2011 NFC Championship game as a way to raise funds from donated tickets.
