LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – The Royal Wedding 2011 official photos (pictures below) were released today by Buckingham Palace. The pics were taken in Buckingham Palace by photographer Hugo Burnand. Earlier today, the Palace informed news that “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge [have left] Buckingham Palace the morning after their wedding.” The couple was wearing matching blue blazers as they strolled in casual attire.

The photos were also released with a news update about the Duke and Duchess’ change of plans for their honeymoon. “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have chosen not to depart for a honeymoon immediately” said the Palace in a news statement today. ” Instead, after spending the weekend privately in the United Kingdom, The Duke will return to work as a Search and Rescue pilot next week.”

Despite news attempts to local their future honeymoon spot, the Duke and Duchess will not release details or photos until after the vacation is taken. ” The locations of both their private weekend before The Duke returns to work and their future honeymoon, which will be overseas, will not be disclosed in advance.”

Yesterday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge left Buckingham Palace for Clarence House in a Aston Martin DB6. The Palace tells news that the “convertible Aston Martin Volante DB6 MKII in Seychelles blue is owned by his father HRH The Prince of Wales” and was purchased in 1969. The vehicle was changed in 2008 “to run on E85 bioethanol, made from English wine wastage.”

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Panama was struck by a strong earthquake today, a terremoto that was felt in Costa Rica. Saturday’s Panama earthquake was a sizable temblor, one of the strongest quakes to strike the region this month. And while Panama has yet to report any significant aftershocks, local news is still investigating the damage throughout the region today.

The Panama earthquake struck shortly after 8 am local time Saturday. With a nominal depth of just six miles below the earth’s surface, today’s quake registered a strong 6.0 magnitude.

Local news is reporting the quake was centered roughly one hundred miles south of David, Panama and southwest of Santiago. The quake was also south of the Costa Rican town of Golfito and roughly two hundred thirty miles south of Panama City.

No tsunami alert was issued after the quake.

The quake was not centered on land but off the western coast. It was west of Parque Nacional De Isla Coiba, Parque Nacional Cerro Hoya. It was centered east of Puerto Armuelles and Santo Tomas.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – While the NFL Draft 2011 Round Two results were announced to news tonight, so too was confirmation that the NFL Lockout was restated by an 8th Circuit emergency appellate ruling. Friday started with NFL officials instructed teams that they may resume operations at training facilities. The ability to handle NFL trades during the NFL Draft, issues of salary caps, and salary floors have all been at play this week. It’s been a web of confusion for football fans and even football news broadcasters trying to keep track the legal posturing of both sides clear.

But late Friday, the NFL Lockout was reinstated coming into Round 2 of the NFL Draft 2011. Whether you like NFL Players Association executive George Atallah’s assertions or NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell’s portrayals, the confusion over the state of NFL football has been taking its toll on fans. Focus on the NFL Draft 2011 round one and round two was substantially down compared to last year. With fans unsure if there even will be a 2011 season, unsure if this Draft will finish how it started depending on court rulings, football has suddenly become more about judges and less about athletes.

With the NFL lockout in its second month, U.S. District Judge Susan Richard Nelson previously ruled in favor of the players, finding too much harm.  And today, the Eight Circuit granted the NFL’s request for a temporary stay of the ruling ending the lockout.

In a 2-1 decision, the lifting of the stay (and hence reinstating the lockout), will be revisited as early as next week. At that time the appeals court will rule if the full stay should or should not be granted.

In second round action tonight, the Patriots drafted Ras-I Dowling, the Bills selected Aaron Williams and the Bengals picked Andy Dalton. Later the 49ers chose Colin Kaepernick, the Browns drafted Jabaal Sheard, and the Cardinals picked Ryan Williams. Finally, the Titans drafted Akeem Ayers, the Cowboys drafted Bruce Carter, the Redskins selected Jarvis Jenkins, and Houston picked Brooks Reed.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Two Los Angeles traffic cops (photos below) have been caught doing adult films. Two traffic officers from Los Angeles Department of Transportation appear in adult videotapes displayed online currently, claims NBC 4. The officers are featured using official uniforms and their official vehicles claims the Los Angeles news report tonight at 11 pm PST.

LA’s parking enforcement chief has confirmed the persons on the tape are his employees. It remains unclear how the news broadcast was first alerted to the tape. But in a pre-broadcast report, NBC claims to have found the videotape, photos, and supporting evidence on a “popular adult subscription website”.

The video has since been verified by LADOT and is under investigation by the city attorney, the Los Angeles Police Department and City Councilman Bill Rosendahl, chairman of the city Transportation Committee. Rosendahl said he is “outraged” about the scandal.

The video footage, moreover, allegedly became known by the employees’ supervisor more than sixty days ago but nothing was done.

Amir Sedadi, interim general manager of the Department of Transportation, says the video features two male employees, in their official uniforms, using at least one official vehicle. Yet despite the appearance of uniforms and vehicle, their supervisor claimed they couldn’t be definitely identified in the video.

The video stars with a female “actress” walking up to one officer. The woman first removes her clothes, then gets spanked by the first officer who touches her exposed body parts. Then she walks up to a second officer who also spanks her before she gets into his official car and performs acts on herself.

CORAL GABLES (LALATE) – Alexander McQueen’s death was remembered during today’s Royal Wedding 2011 dresses (photos below). When Americans first learned of Alexander McQueen’s suicide death, a nation was shocked by the loss of life and irreplaceable talent. Today’s Royal Wedding dress for Kate Middleton, and Pippa Middleton’s dress, were both done by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen.

But as the pomp and beauty of today’s event sets in, news and fans are now realizing that there is far more of Alexander McQueen in today’s historic wedding than initially appeared before our eyes.

Despite the beauty of Kate’s dress, it was Pippa Middleton’s bridesmaid dress that was so-McQueen that our eyes delighted. The above image above is from a 2010 Bravo telecast of the Rachel Zoe Project. During the telecast, Fashion for Relief Haiti gets Zoe’s help. The dresses were all McQueen’s.

Shortly after Pippa made her way to the Abbey Friday, press immediately turned its focus to a Cameron Diaz dress. At the 2010 Golden Globes, Diaz wore a dress almost exactly structured as the one on the right also from McQueen. On an earlier broadcast of Project Runway, Alexander McQueen redefined how we perceive a wedding dress. While LALATE has reported on countless cable broadcasts, never has a feather wedding dress crashed a server … until McQueen. During the Project Runway telecast, one contestant was accused by Michael Kors of lifting from a Alexander McQueen feather wedding dress cerca 2008. The dress was sheer brilliance.

While Kate Middleton’s dress today was clearly more about her and less about Alexander, his impact, his vision, his structure, and his style was remembered throughout Friday’s Royal Wedding.

McQueen came to fame with a series of major honors early in his career including the International Designer of the Year by The Council of Fashion Designer’s of America (CFDA) in 2003. In 1996 he replaced Galiano as chief designer at Givenchy and in 2000 entered into partnership with Gucci.

McQueen’s suicide came days after the death of his mother and three years after the suicide of Isabella Blow. As Zoe showed in her broadcast, McQueen’s fashion house was ready for his show when the news of his suicide came in.

Fern Mills said at the time “Just like everyone else in the industry, I’m shocked. What goes on in the minds of these creative geniuses we’ll never know.”
