Jerry Brown Nose Surgery Removes Cancerous Growth

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Jerry Brown underwent nose reconstructive surgery this weekend. Jerry Brown’s nose had become afflicted with a cancerous growth. On Friday the growth was removed in surgery.
In a news statement today, Jerry Brown’s office confirmed the Governor had a basal cell carcinoma growth on his nose. During a procedure Friday, the growth was removed from the Governor’s nose. Thereafter the California governor underwent reconstructive surgery on the nose.
The statement did not indicate if the procedure was scheduled or not. The Governor was reportedly set to appear at a public function this Sunday. But in a news statement today, his office says he has canceled all appearances until the removal of the stitches.
In the years since last serving as governor in California, Brown has run for President twice, headed the State Democratic party, and served as Oakland mayor from 1996 to 2004 and state attorney general since 2006. This is Brown’s third term as governor.
