ST LOUIS (LALATE) – Brian Gregory is becoming Georgia Tech’s next men’s basketball coach, says reports. The Brian Gregory Georgia Tech deal is to be confirmed in a news conference to press Monday, says multiple news sources today.

Terms of the contract have yet to be revealed.

After eight season at Dayton, Gregory had reportedly informed his students of the move, claims CBS. Gregory takes over for the recently fired Paul Hewitt after 11 seasons.

790 The Zone Sports radio is reporting the news Monday, stating “Multiple sources are reporting that Brian Gregory will be the next Head Basketball Coach”. The AJC is reporting the same. “Brian Gregory of Dayton is reportedly the new Ga. Tech basketball coach. “

The press conference is anticipated for Monday. Gregory has yet to comment about the news reports.

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – Four Angola High School students were killed Saturday in a crash on Interstate 65 in Alabama. Matthew Riley Zimmer, Alexx Bauer, Matthew Roe and Evan Weaver, all 18, were killed Saturday after returning from spring break. Niall McNellis, 21, of Alabama was behind the while of his Chrysler when he sudden allegedly crossed the median near Verbena, Alabama on Interstate 65. McNellis allegedly crashed head on with the teens’ vehicle, killing himself and the four students.

Zimmer was reportedly behind the wheel of a Ford Taurus driving the four teens beak from a week of fun in Panama City. The four were heading north on 65, McNellis south. Suddenly at roughly 3:06 PM, McNellis crashed into Zimmer’s vehicle. The Alabama Department of Public Safety reports a third car with a woman and two children also suffered damage but no injuries to its passengers.

News of the students’ deaths were first reported by friends on Facebook. A news conference is scheduled today.

Principal Steve Grill issued the following statement to news this weekend; “They’re just great young people, the kind of people you hope to have in school. It’s so tragic for the families and close friends and really the whole school district that we’ve now lost them.”

Anna Chapman has taken off her clothes for Maxim pictures, inked her own TV show “Mysteries of the World, with Anna Chapman”, secured her own Apple iPhone app, and has become the Paris Hilton of Russian consumer product endorsements.

But now is Chapman making the move from the KGB to the Kremlin? Insiders believe so.

They contend that Chapman’s next goal could be a December bid for the Russian parliament. Chapman has launched a new website that insiders believe is the first step for her December bid for the State Duma. Chapman will reportedly run on Vladimir Putin’s United Russia party ticket.

Chapman recently told news “Before returning to Moscow in July 2010, I aspired to personal harmony and was more concerned with my own happiness.” She adds “But in due course my ideology changed. I came to understand that fulfillment in life comes from helping those around me. The day that I returned I consider to be my second birthday.”

In a recent interview, however, Chapman said she is launching instead a 3D production company. “We have the Winter Olympics and other interesting events coming up that I could cover. I’m going to launch a 3D pilot project soon.”

One of Anna’s most notable lines as a spy was the following: “Okay, tomorrow at 11, I am going to be sitting at one of the benches and she is going to ask me if she saw me in California. In July 2010, Anna Chapman and other spies pleaded guilty in a New York courtroom. The deal involved immediate deportation of the 10 individuals in exchange for a reported 4 foreigners held for espionage by Russia. Thereafter, she was transported via Vision Airways from LaGuardia to Vienna.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Sarah Lane, Natalie Portman’s Black Swan Double, is battling the film’s studio, Fox Searchlight. Sarah Lane is the credited American Ballet Theatre soloist who served as Portman’s double. But now Lane is speaking out, post Oscars, claiming that Fox Searchlight deliberately mislead Oscar voters.

Lane says that Fox Searchlight allegedly used less than 5% of footage from Portman and 95% from Lane. She tells news that alleged twist caused Oscar voters to be misled into thinking that Portman had studied extensively, within just a few months, to be able to dance like a classically trained ballerina.

Lane makes her claims in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly. “On the full body shots, I would say 5% are Natalie,” Lane said “all the other shots are me.” Lane adds “They wanted to create this idea in people’s minds that Natalie was some kind of prodigy or so gifted in dance and really worked so hard to make herself a ballerina in a year and a half or the movie, basically because of the Oscar.

Why did Lane give the interview now? Lane was reportedly furious about an LA Times interview with the film’s Benjamin Millepied who claimed Portman danced virtually all the moves herself. He said “Honestly, 85% of that movie is Natalie.”

“It is demeaning to the profession and just to me. I’ve been doing this for 22 years … Can you become a concert pianist in a year and a half, even if you’re a movie star?” says Lane.

Portman would not respond directly to the controversy. Instead her studio fired back.

“We were fortunate to have Sarah there to cover the more complicated dance sequences and we have nothing but praise for the hard work she did,” said studio Fox Searchlight in a news statement this weekend . “However, Natalie herself did most of the dancing featured in the final film.”

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Justin Bieber won at tonight’s Junos. Justin Bieber went into last year’s Junos awards telecast with three nominations and left empty handed. This year, Bieber, 17, finally picked up his first Juno fan choice award.

Bieber, however, was not present for the awards celebration held at Air Canada Center. Bieber appeared in the show’s opening skit via Skype chat with Toronto native Drake.

Later, when Bieber’s name was announced as winning the night’s award, a pre-recorded video message was played. In the pre-recording, Bieber told fans “I want to thank the fans so much for being so supportive, buying my albums and voting for me.”

He added “You guys have been incredible, and 2011 is going to be an amazing year. All right — peace, Junos.”

Bieber has continued to sell well this 2011. His singles Never Say Never, Baby, and Pray sit at thirty-one, sixty-two, and eighty-nine on the Apple iTunes Top 100 currently.
