Jackie Chan is Not Dead from Heart Attack

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Jackie Chan is not dead from a heart attack. A fake Jackie Chan death report surfaced today claiming that Chan died in a Los Angeles hospital.
But unlike any previous fake celebrity death report, Chan’s report evoked even a fake quote from the President of the United States. “United States President Barack Obama laid down a personal tribute to the martial artist saying: “Jackie Chan is a man who can talk through talent, he is a constant reminder of the strength of humanity. He will forever be in our hearts, a true inspiration who inspired many generations.”
The fake Presidential comment concluded “First it’s Nate Dogg then it’s Jackie Chan.” The President did not issue a statement today, nor did Will Smith, wrongly credited as stating “he will be forever missed and always in our hearts.”
Making today’s report unusual, however, was the means in which it was transmitted. As of 1 pm PST, the report appeared on a website that its fully cloaked and window dressed as Yahoo.com. The website, which is not affiliate with Yahoo.com, lifting the template, functionality, logos, marks, and more. A roll of your mouse over the hyperlinks on the fake website reveals now of the fake Yahoo links work; rather they send users to all third party websites.
Chan’s official Twitter and Facebook accounts confirm today’s reports are false. In a news statement Tuesday, Chan’s reps say “Jackie is alive and well. He did not suffer a heart attack and die, as was reported on many social networking sites and in online news reports … Jackie is fine and is busy preparing for the filming of his next movie.”
