Dominic Barbara Suspended from Law, and then Retires

NEW YORK (LALATE) – Dominic Barbara (Howard Stern Show) was recently suspended from the practice of law. Following Dominic Barbara learning of his suspension, he announced his retirement. The scandal is the latest trouble for the notable “bloated attorney” character from the Howard Stern Show.
Barbara had been the subject of an 18 month suspension announced earlier this month. But in a news statement issued to the Law Journal recently, he said that he will simply just retire.
“The Appellate Division has a very difficult job to do ruling on what the findings of the grievance committee are and I’m sure what they did, they felt was right”. Barbara added “I’ve been a lawyer for 40 years, and am 65 years old, and it’s just a sad way to end my career. But, on the other hand, life goes on.â€
A year ago, his run-in at a bagel shop became topic of discussion on the Howard Stern Show. Stern, who often referred to Barbara as the “bloated attorney”, said in May 2010 “I don’t know if he’s nuts or [his ex wife is] nuts or I don’t know who’s nuts in this. It seems like he’s nuts, but I’m sure Dominic has a whole rap about this.”
