LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Mike Evans has apologized for his Abercrombie Obama birth certificate remarks. Mike Evans’ remarks were made last week to radio news station KQRS. During the news interview, Evans said he has been a friend of Hawaii Governor Neil Abercrombie for thirty years. Evans said that Abercrombie had looked for President Obama’s birth certificate and since admits failure finding that document.

Now Evans today is apologizing for those remarks, saying that he misspoke during the radio news interview.

Evans’ original remarks about Governor Abercrombie included the following:  “Yesterday, talking to Neil’s office, Neil says that he searched everywhere using his powers as governor ….. there is no Barack Obama birth certificate in Hawaii.  Absolutely no proof at all that he was born in Hawaii.”

Today, Mike Evans says he “misspoke” during that KQRS interview. “Only this I can you tell you is 100 percent fact: that Neil never told me there was no birth certificate. I never talked to him.”

How did Evans’ mix-up occur?

He tells news today that “instead of saying ‘the hospital said there’s no birth certificate’ I misspoke and said Neil said that. I misspoke and I apologize.” Evans tells FOX News that he has called the Governor to apologize but hasn’t heard back.

CORAL GABLES (LALATE) – Michelle Money claims she had an affair with Carlos Boozer. Michelle Money (“The Bachelor”) claims Carlos Boozer (then with the Utah Jazz) told her that he was separated from his wife when the two allegedly became intimate. Money tells news that she believed Boozer was single even though he wasn’t separated and hadn’t even filed for divorce.

The allegations are the latest to strike this season of the ABC hit series The Bachelor. Michelle Money claims she believed Boozer was single but now realizes the alleged affair was a mistake. Money says what she did “was wrong”

The couple allegedly met while was Money living in Salt Lake City after her divorce. She claims the then Jazz star told her he had already filed for separation, even though he hadn’t. She claims the two then began to have relations.

She admits that was “so naive” to believe that NBA player. She adds “I feel terrible for [his then wife] Cece for that pain she’s had to go through and that I am a part of it.”

The NBA star has yet to comment about the story. Boozer and wife CeCe were married for six years. In March 2009 the couple divorced. Together the two have three kids.

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – Rhonda Aikman (photos below), formerly Rhonda Worthey, and Troy Aikman have confirmed their separation. Rhonda Aikman has been married to Troy for nearly a decade. After reports stated that the Aikmans were divorcing, a statement by the former couple to news now indicates they are instead separated.

The Aikmans married on April 8, 2000. Rhonda Aikman is a former Cowboys publicist. The couple has two children; Rhonda has one child from a former marriage.

Troy Aikman last year was inducted as a member of the National Football Foundation Board of Directors. Aikman will next be inside the broadcast booth for the Super Bowl from Cowboys Stadium on Feb. 6. Troy Aikman was once linked to Sandra Bullock, actress Janine Turner and singer Lorrie Morgan.

The couple confirms the split has been “a difficult decision” for both of them. Neither would comment further to news about the separation stating they are committed to their children.

WASHINGTON (LALATE) – Dennis Kucinich’s olive pit lawsuit is heating up the House floor today. Dennis Kucinich’s teeth were allegedly damaged from an olive pit inside a cafeteria sandwich and now Kucinich wants $150,000 in damages.

Kucinich’s troubles allegedly started on April 17, 2008. The Ohio Democrat had visited a cafeteria inside the Longworth House Office Building cafeteria. There he was attracted to a sandwich that allegedly was represented as having pitted olives. He made the purchase. He grabbed the sandwich. And he took a bite.

Suddenly, Kucinich allegedly found his teeth biting down on a significant sized olive pit.

The member of Congress is now suing the cafeteria’s operator claiming that his sandwich, a wrap, “contained dangerous substances, namely an olive pit”. After he bit into the oil pit, he allegedly suffered “serious and permanent” injury to his teeth. He allegedly has undergone “multiple surgical and dental procedures.” He claims he has “sustained other damages,” including “significant pain, suffering and loss of enjoyment.”

The operator of the cafeteria, Restaurant Associates, says it has no comment. Kucinich is currently in his eight term. The case has been filed in the District of Columbia Superior Court and has a hearing set for April 8.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Lindsay Ann Hawker’s suspected killer Tatsuya Ichihashi details his escape following Hawker’s murder in a new book making news today called “Until the Arrest”. Tatsuya Ichihashi stands trial for Lindsay Ann Hawker’s murder later this year. But in “Until the Arrest” published this week, Lindsay Ann Hawker’s suspected killer details how he allegedly escaped from Tokyo following Hawker’s murder and stayed on the run for 2 1/2 years.

British teacher Lindsay Ann Hawker was 22 years old when her body was found buried in sand inside Tatsuya Ichihashi’s bathtub in March 2007. Tatsuya Ichihashi during his 2 1/2 years on the run detailed how evaded authorities until his arrest in 2009. Those writings are now in a nationally released book today called “Until the Arrest”.

Among Tatsuya Ichihashi’s allegations was his choice to disfigure himself to change his appearance. He claims that tied up his nose with thread and needle to make it appear different. He then claims he cut off a part of his prominent lower lip.

From there he fled to the north and took construction jobs. Those jobs, which involved demolition of buildings, gave him money to invest in plastic surgery. The result was a series of procedures dramatically changing his appearance.

In the book, Tatsuya Ichihashi admits to the murder and asks for forgiveness. He also writes that he wished Hawker “could come back to life”. Hawker’s parents have yet to comment about the book.
