LONDON (LALATE) – David Tennant and Georgia Moffett are planning a 2012 wedding. David Tennant and Georgia Moffett got engaged over the holidays. Their wedding is set for New Year’s Day 2012 says the British Sun paper.

The two met on the set of Doctor Who in 2008. She played his daughter during a guest starring role. In reality, she is the daughter of fifth Time Lord Peter Davison.

Two years ago this month, Matt Smith was named the 11th Doctor Who replacing Tennant. Smith became the youngest actor ever to play the part at age 26.

Tennant played the role from 2005 to 2010, replacing Christopher Eccleston. The original part was played by William Hartnell from 1963 to 1966. Piers Wenger, head of drama at BBC Wales, said of the selection of Smith in January 2009 – “I knew he was the one”.
