LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – W Magazine’s Kim Kardashian pics drove the reality star to tears. W Magazine had told Kim Kardashian that its photos would feature her unclothed. But according to the E! reality star, W Magazine promised “artsy” photos. But as W Magazine felt its pics were allegedly artsy, the Kardashian who has made a name for herself appearing unclothed was driven to tears.

In last night’s episode of Kourtney and Kim Take New York, Kim shows something that she never revealed to news in fall 2010; that her spread in W drove her to anger, feelings of betrayal, and eventually tears.

Kardashian told viewers last night that she was allegedly promised by the magazine something different than she allegedly got. “I feel so taken advantage of.” Of course, fans have already seen the star unclothed, at least on more than one occasion previously. “I’ve definitely learned my lesson. I’m never taking my clothes off again, even if it’s for Vogue.”

Kardashian’s anger, however, is not unusual for celebrities. Many, even some of Kardashian’s own friends, have made news for spreads that think wrongly depicted themselves and should have never hit the newsstands.

“Oh my God, I’m more [unclothed] that I was in Playboy” fumed Kim last night. Eventually Kardashian broke into tears. “I’m so mad right now. [The magazine] promised I would be covered with artwork.”

Of course, with Kardashian appearing in countless, wonderful spreads per year, why did Kim she making such detailed reference to this spread she hated the most, giving it so much free publicity on her reality show this week? While that answer remains unknown, one thing is for certain; the fan interest in the pictures and the news coverage of the “controversy” has in the last day far surpassed reaction to the pictures initially.

So what does Kim think now about the pics?

After the anger was settled, the tears were whipped, and the dramatic moment had ended, Kim Kardashian miraculously told Ryan Seacrest “At the end of the day, they are gorgeous photos, and I’m glad I did it, and I love them.”

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Lauren Conrad Kyle Howard engagement reports in today’s New York Post are false, confirms LC’s rep. Lauren Conrad is dating Kyle Howard but the two are not engaged, nor planning to get engaged. In fact, Lauren Conrad’s rep tells news Monday that the Post’s article is “totally false”.

In 2009, Lauren Conrad admitted her departure from The Hills helped her rebuild her private life. Now with those cameras (at least for now) still not turned back on Conrad, some news reports (and at least the Post’s report today) have been unsuccessful in updating fans of the MTV star’s private life.

But could that change?

In October 2010, LALATE broke that Lauren Conrad is returning to reality TV on MTV. “The only way I’d return to reality television  would be if it allowed me to decide when the cameras stop,” Conrad told news in fall 2010. And while LC had pitched her new program to multiple networks, Lauren Conrad’s reality show will return to her first home at MTV after it won the broadcast rights.

And how about films?

Conrad has previously confirmed that she is adapting her massively successful books into a feature film(s).     “We’re hoping for a movie deal. I’m working on [adapting the book for the movies] right now, but I don’t want to commit to anything until I see all my options. We have had a lot of exciting news in that respect, though” she told news in fall 2010.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – The AP Defensive Player of the Year for 2010 was announced to news Monday; Troy Polamalu beat out Clay Matthews by a mere two votes. And while the Steelers star beat out the Packers LB in today’s voting announcement, there is certainly more at stake this Sunday.

Polamalu earned seventeen votes compared to Matthews’ fifteen; James Harrison finished third with eight votes followed by Julius Peppers, Brian Urlacher, Ed Reed and Haloti Ngata, respectively.

The impact of Troy Polamalu presence in Steelers’ games this season has been unmatched. When Troy Polamalu plays, the Steelers (from 2008 to the present) give up on average 266 yards per game and nearly fifteen points per game. When he doesn’t play, they give up nearly sixty yards and ten points more per game. In fact, in forty-four Steelers games since 2008, Troy Polamalu’s presence has given the team a 25-8 record; his absence from games has produced a 5-6 record.

When the difference? Mike Tomlin tells news that Troy Polamalu focuses more on getting the ball than just sacking the quarterback. But the impact that even insiders have a difficulty understanding is Polamalu’s ability to read and anticipate plays, so well, and most especially, so fast. Troy Polamalu tells news today “Sometimes things just happen so fast.”

What does Matthews think of Troy’s win today? He says it would have been an honor to win, but his focus is instead becoming “the world champions”.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Could Luna Maya and Cut Tari be the subject of a new move by investigators after the conviction today of Nazril Irham? One report Monday claims that investigators may now look into Luna Maya and Cut Tari’s alleged involvement on the tapes that resulted in a 3 1/2 year prison term today for Nazil Irham, pop singer Ariel of the band Peterpan.

Reports claim that on July 9, 2010 Cut Tari allegedly confessed to appearing on at least one of the three tapes. Luna Maya herself has battled fallout from the scandal, her ads for Lux brand soap being yanked from distribution channels.

But today, National Police spokesman Insp. Gen. Anton Bahrul Alam reportedly told locals news that investigators will now look at whether Luna Maya and Cut Tari’s alleged involvement necessitates action. “What they did is related with Ariel. The investigators will definitely make a move since [Ariel] was found guilty today”. Local reports had claimed that prosecutors promised not to pursue Luna nor Cut after they allegedly cooperated in the Ariel investigation.

Luna Maya was one of the torchbearers for the 2008 Summer Olympics. Her ad campaigns have included Lux, XL, and Toshiba. She appeared in the films 30 hari Mencari Cinta and Brownies (2005).

Ariel defense attorneys had argued the videos were stolen from the singer’s computer(s) and not distributed by him online. Otto Cornelis Kaligis had told news no witness had proven that Ariel was involved in distribution of the material.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Three leaked tapes by Nazril Irham has sent “Ariel” of the Indonesia band “Peterpan” to prison. Nazril Irham was sentenced to 3 1/2 years in prison and fined today for leaked video tapes that hit the next in 2010 allegedly featuring Luna Maya, a TV personality, and Cut Tari, a soap opera star.

Each dubbed the “Ariel Peterpan Tape” by local news, the material today resulted in a milestone for the country’s prosecutors. Irham today became the first celebrity convicted under a new law enacted in the country in 2008. The statute prohibits anyone from producing, copying, or distributing tapes of such nature. It enacts sentencing guidelines of six months to 12 years and fines as much as $666,000.

Ariel today was sentenced to 3 1/2 years and fined $27,692. Prosecutors had sought a five year prison term.

Ariel was the subject of reportedly three tapes. “The defendant is legitimately and convincingly guilty of giving chances for others to spread, make and provide [such material]” said judge Singgih Budi Prakoso in a written sentencing statement today. Ariel had reportedly argued that he hadn’t distributed the material, arguing that the material had been stolen from his computers. Communications and Information Minister Tifatul Sembiring has reportedly moved for tougher laws in advance of today’s verdict.

Ariel has been in jail since surrendering to police in June 22, 2010. Police have not arrested Maya nor Tari.
