Jonathan Foster Remains Missing

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Police say Jonathan Foster was not found Tuesday in northeast Harris County. Jonathan Foster has remained missing since his disappearance on Christmas Eve. The 12 year old was last seen at his mother’s north Houston apartment.
Search efforts changed Tuesday when a burned body was found. By during a news conference this afternoon, officials confirmed that the burned remains were too badly burned to identify promptly as Foster.
Jonathan Foster’s parents were questioned today. They are not in custody. But the couple’s older Mercedes was towed away by police investigators from a home Jonathan shared with his mom and step father. Foster is a fifth grader at Durham Elementary in HISD. Yet despite his disappearance last week, an Amber Alert was not issued until Monday.
In a news conference today, HPD spokesman Kese Smith said some investigators believe the boy is alive. Houston Police Sgt. Stuart Harris however said “I don’t know if it’s an abduction.” Jonathan has red hair and blue eyes; he weighs 100 lbs and stands five feet tall.
