SEASIDE HEIGHTS (LALATE) – Snooki’s New Years Eve Ball drop has been banned from Times Square, and moved … to the Jersey Shore. Snooki will drop in a ball for New Years Eve, not in New York City’s Times Square, but in another state.

Reports claimed New York City, organizers of the real Times Square ball drop, were not pleased that an MTV show was trying to do a second competing ball drop in Times Square. By early Wednesday, reports claimed the City had banned any MTV ball dropping from Times Square.

By midday, confirmation came that Snooki and her ball will fall from the geographically-appropriate Jersey Shore. Snooki will be rolled up in the ball, much like “a hamster” as she puts it, and dropped to screaming no-so-sober fans.

No official comment from MTV or the Mayor’s Office.

In October, the reality star told news that she has “officially made it” when she was the subject of a South Park spoof.”Snooki want smoosh smoosh. I’m going to have nightmares tonight. We’ve officially made it.”  Vinny Guadagnino said the same: “On the plane and just watched South Park Jersey Shore. All I have to say is amazing. My face was on South Park. I’m good now.”

HOUSTON (LALATE) – Jonathan Foster still remains missing but a woman is expected to be charged with his disappearance today. Jonathan Foster has been missing since Christmas Eve but sources Wednesday indicate police have one, if not two, suspects they will charge in the 12 year old’s disappearance.

Police say they have in custody a female who is not related to Foster but is an acquaintance of Foster’s stepfather. Another male is being sought Wednesday. The female has yet to be identified. But police say she is not been cooperative. Sources claim the female will be charged. Police would not explain why they have not asked the public’s assistance in located the male for questioning.

Foster’s stepfather last saw Jonathan Foster alive shortly before 2 pm Christmas Eve. Foster’s mother reported him missing roughly seven hours later.  An Amber Alert was issued Monday.

Police have spoken to Foster’s mother, stepfather and his babysitter. None have been arrested. But the couple’s older Mercedes was towed away by police investigators earlier this week. If you have any information, contact HPD at 713-731-5223.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) –  Jenn Sterger (photos below) had claimed she received pictures from Brett Favre. The NFL ruled today the evidence did not prove that Favre sent pics to Playboy’s Jenn Sterger while the two were employed at the Jets. In a statement released by Roger Goodell to news moments ago, the NFL ended its months of investigation into the Brett Favre Jenn Sterger scandal by finding Favre did NOT violate the NFL’s player conduct policy.

Moreover, Goodell and the NFL found that the evidence did not support Jenn Sterger’s claim that pics were sent by Favre.

Why did the investigation take so long? Goodell today blamed Favre and said he was “not candid” during the NFL’s investigation of the matter. The NFL ruled that Favre’s delay caused negative publicity for the league, Jenn Sterger, and himself. For that, Goodell fined $50,000 “for his failure to cooperate with the investigation in a forthcoming manner.”

But, Goodell and the NFL did NOT find Favre violated the NFL Personal Conduct Policy while he and Sterger were with the Jets in 2008.  ”On the basis of the evidence currently available to him, Commissioner Goodell could not conclude that Favre violated league policies relating to workplace conduct. The forensic analysis could not establish that Favre sent the objectionable photographs to Sterger. The review found no evidence to contradict the statements of both Favre and Sterger that they never met in person, nor was there anything to suggest that Sterger engaged in any inappropriate conduct.”

Since early fall, Adam Shefter had reported that the NFL was trying to link the digital path between Favre and Playboy’s Jenn Sterger. The NFL was allegedly using  forensic work “to trace the electronic pathways and transmission of any photos or messages that might have been sent during communication between them.”

Sterger, who did not report the conduct in 2008, did not initially make herself available when the NFL matter started, today denounced the NFL decision as “affront to all females.” Sterger had previously threatened to sue multiple parties involved.

SAN FRANCISCO (LALATE) – Jim Harbaugh is the San Francisco 49ers head coach front runner, claims reports. Jim Harbaugh, Stanford’s coach, could become the 49ers new head coach says multiple updates Wednesday. Adam Shefter and Tim Kawakami are both reporting that Jim Harbaugh is being actively pursued.

Jim Harbaugh is “not long on Stanford” Shefter reported today. With the 49ers seeking to build a new stadium, Jim Harbaugh would help bring the marquee name to the coaching position needed.

After Mike Singletary was fired, Jed York claimed that a new general manager will hire the coach. Kawakami is reporting that Gruden and Harbaugh are on the short list.

UM was just recently after Gruden as well. UM was reportedly willing to pay $3 million per season. Gruden declined. At the time, the Miami Herald reported Gruden didn’t want a college job but does an NFL gig.

But for what price?

Gruden has previously said he is committed to staying with Monday Night Football and ESPN. But for how long?

York is 29 years old.

BEVERLY HILLS (LALATE) – Kelsey Grammer and Kayte Walsh confirm their wedding will be in 2011, and private. Kelsey Grammer and Kayte Walsh’s wedding comes as allegations that the couple are seeking to marry as soon as possible. Grammer and Walsh told tell news that they are engaged, and will marry promptly.

No word if Camille’s medium friend Alison DuBois predicted this one coming.

Roughly at the same age Playboy’s Camille Grammer got married to Kelsey, Walsh will now marry Kelsey. She’s 29, he’s 59.  Kayte Walsh’s brother is soccer player Phil Walsh (Dagenham & Redbridge), Alan Walsh (Bristol City) is her father, who is two years younger that Kelsey.

Walsh will be Grammer’s fourth wife.

Camille Donatacci married Grammer part way during his lucrative years on the hit sitcom Frasier. The couple’s marriage was in California and subject to no prenup. Together they have residences in Holmby Hills, Malibu, New York, and elsewhere.

Camille and Kelsey married after dating less than 12 months. The same is true for Kelsey and Walsh.
