LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Could Brad Pitt next appear as Yonni Barrios or Edison Pena on screen? The story of Yonni Barrios (aka Johnny Barrios or Yonni Barrios Rojas) and the 33 Chilean miners could come to movie theater soon with Brad Pitt producing and leading the cast.

Brad Pitt’s production company, Plan B, has reportedly approached the Chilean Miners’ representative, attorney Edgardo Reinoso, to purchase official film rights from the miners. The miners confirm they have received ten offers a day sine their rescue.

Edgardo Reinoso says the miners are expected to set up a company that would handle all their business affairs including film rights.

Pitt has yet to tell news which role he would play. Nor has Pitt indicated if the role of Barrios interests him, the miner who left his wife to be with his mistress. Barrios was nicknamed by his fellow miners as “Doctor Barrios” or “El Doctor House”. He learned skills as a child tending to his mother with diabetes. He imparted those skills to aid his fellow miners.
