An alleged eating disorder, bulimia, cutting, and a broken heart are among the various alleged reasons Demi Lovato has entered rehab. Lovato has yet to confirm any of the allegations. But as reported in early November on LALATE, Lovato exemplified shocking weight loss in 2009, tweeted a song about eating disorder, and prompted concerns about her skinny frame.

In August 2009, Lovato reportedly tweeted the above photo with the words “I need you to know, I’m not through the night.. Some days I’m still fighting to walk towards the light.” The lyrics are from the song “Courage” by the Christian rock group Superchick. Supechick songwriter Melissa Brock says the song is about her own struggles with eating disorders.

And while Lovato admitted to have suffered from bullying, was Lovato suffering from bigger issues? Lovato said “For me it was all of the verbal harassment I had to deal with. People say sticks and stones may break your bones but names can never hurt you, but that’s not true. Words can hurt. They hurt me. Things were said to me that I still haven’t forgotten.”

But in July 2009, Lovato tweeted “Can’t wait to see you again in heaven … Texas isn’t the same without you. RIP David Osborn”. Osborne had died at age 21 of a tubing accident that month.

And while Demi has entered rehab for physical and emotional issues, reports of heart beak over the death of David Osborn are added to the alleged struggles the singer is undergoing. While Lovato seeks help, Demi remains silent about her struggles but has thanked her loving fans for their support.
