LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Victoria Vetri aka Angela Dorian (Playboy photos below) has been arrested. But Angela Dorian’s latest arrest follows years of triumph and troubles for the 1968 Playmate of the Year.
Victoria Vetri was the victim of savage attack inside her Hollywood home in 1980. During that encounter, Vetri suffered a broke nose and ribs. Years earlier, Victoria Vetri made the error of turning down what would have been the biggest role of her career, the title role in the 1962 film Lolita.
Born the daughter of a restaurant owner and Broadway singer, Victoria Vetri captivated a nation as the Playmate of the Year in 1968, earning $20,000 in gifts and prizes and a new car (pictured above). In the years that followed, she made countless appearances in some of the classic 1970s tv shows from Batman to Star Trek.
Now 66, Vetri has been charged with attempted murder. She remains in jail unable to make the $1 million bail. Dorian is accused of shooting her boyfriend at home in Hollywood last weekend. She has yet to comment about the matter. The man, unidentified, is expected to survive.
