WASHINGTON (LALATE) – Lisbeth Lyons (photo below) denies any John Boehner affair allegation, despite a peculiar question to Boehner and then a follow up report on the Daily Kos today. Lisbeth Lyons questions hit in a week in which news apparently has not had enough reports about Irma Nici and David Beckham, nor about Brittney Jones and Ashton Kutcher (Kutcher and Bekcham both deny any wrongdoing).

Boehner was talking yesterday about “Pledge to America” when a Daily Kos reporter asked if Boehner was having an affair with a lobbyist from the Printing Industries of America. Boehner refused to comment, walked away, and got into his Suburban.

By Friday, the name referenced by the question surfaced in the New York Post and elsewhere – Lisbeth Lyons. When contacted for comment, Lyons was shocked by the question if she was having an affair. She denied, and refused to comment further. Lisbeth Lyons says “As you can imagine, I was stunned by such a question. I found it to be highly insulting, particularly as a female political professional, as well as unfounded. Beyond that, I have no further comment on the matter.”

Boehner’s office gave a statement to news today. Much like Beckham, in Los Angeles, and Kutcher, in New York yesterday, Boehner was shocked by the allegations. But unlike the two celebrities threatening to take the magazines to court, Boehner’s rep said it will head to the polls where the American public will decide. “The American people oppose Washington Democrats’ job killing, so their desperate liberal allies are resorting to outright lies. It’s low, and it’s dirty.”
