LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – The Ndamukong Suh play against Jake Delhomme (video below) is now under NFL review.  Ndamukong Suh’s play against Jake Delhomme prompted Browns coach Eric Mangini to denounce the Suh play and call for NFL involvement. Suh got a 15 yard penalty for the slamming of Delhomme to the ground. NFL spokesman Gregg Aiello confirms the league is investigating the  matter but would not provide any further details. Suh said he just messed up, that he thought Delhomme still had the ball.

Brown players told football news Monday that Suh should be suspended while fellow Lions defended Suh. In contrast, Lions players justify it as an error lacking any intent to cause harm; they assert Suh just messed up and truly believed Delhomme still had the ball. Mangini agreed that Suh didn’t do it on purpose but that the play did put the safety of Delhomme at risk. Delhomme’s position on the matter is more relaxed. He says whatever the NFL decides he supports. But he adds that he was happy to get a first down off the mistake.

Online reaction to the video has been mixed. “If he did that to Brett Favre or Tom Brady, he’d definitely be? ejected, fined and suspended” comments one viewer. Many felt it was nothing more than a penalty. “Delhomme looked like a rag doll. Its a penalty, but nothing more.” Others contend the means by which Suh effectuated the play was dirty “that was a dirty play. It’s one thing to get a face mask but to just toss a guy around by the neck? Dirty.”

One notes that Suh tackles high and show be more careful to avoid penalties. “If you look at his highlights this is pretty much how Suh tackles. He grabs pretty high. definitely not malicious. The toss at the end is what he does too.” And one simply notes “it’s not wise for a rookie to make enemies of veteran players in the NFL.”

WAYNE, NJ (LALATE) – Danielle Staub and Teresa Giudice’s fight on their Real Housewives of NJ Reunion Show tonight leaves Andy Cohen “concerned. Giudice and Staub’s fight gets Andy Cohen stuck in the center, says the Bravo exec to news today.

Tweets to Cohen have said “How could you let her push you?” “Andy, are you hurt?”. Cohen tells the Hollywood Reporter “I should have gotten hazard pay for this” fight. While Staub and Giudice have met up throughout the recent season, this is the first time when all the Housewives are under one roof.

Cohen, who reveals that Housewives have made salary raises demands, also explains that’s nothing new for Bravo stars. He says Jeff Lewis emails him every week asking for a raise. But Cohen reveals this reunion, starting tonight, does get too heated. He says Staub and Giudice will go at it and leave him for “a moment … actually concerned. We’ve had two situations where someone has gotten out of their seat in a threatening way. And in this case, I thought, “OK, I have to intervene.” And just watch what happens when I try to get between Teresa and Danielle. “

Teresa has said of Staub “We’re dealing with a psycho-maniac. Everyone isn’t seeing what goes on on the scenes and behind the scenes. Like you just can’t go around spreading rumors and saying whatever you feel like saying.”

Staub continues to hold her position on Teresa’s finances claiming “I’m going to tell her what I told her before — your house is in foreclosure. I wasn’t lying and you did know.”

Reps claim Cop without a Badge is becoming a tv series, and Danielle Staub hints she’s getting her own tv series; so are the two projects one in the same, or is this just two groups aimlessly promoting unconfirmed projects lost in Wayne’s world?

So are the two projects one in the same? Keeping track of Staub tv projects, with or without her playing herself, might be as hard as keeping track of her names. Ex boyfriend Stephen Zalewski recently since claimed under oath that Staub also was previously not just “Beverly Ann Merrill” but also “Angela Minelli”.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – ESPN’s position on Jay Mariotti remains a mystery. While AOL didn’t need to pardon any interruption, quickly suspending Mariotti Thursday, EPSN has been silent. But why?

ESPN was fast to make a decision about Tony Kornheiser after his comments about Hanah Storm’s dress. ESPN acted swiftly after Kornheiser’s “red go-go boots” don’t go with “a catholic school plaid skirt” remarks. But not Mariotti.

Mariotti didn’t just make comments about someone’s clothing, he was arrested for felony domestic disturbance. Kornheiser sat at his desk and opined about what Hannah Storm should wear; LAPD claims that Mariotti got into a physical altercation with his girlfriend inside their Venice apartment, booked him on felongy charges, set his bail at $50,000, and held him at the 77th street station.

AOL said last Thursday that Mariotti is off their FanHouse web site. Caroline Campbell, a spokeswoman for AOL, said in a written statement “We are continuing to gather all the facts. In the meantime, we have suspended Jay Mariotti and are not featuring any new work from him.”

Tony Kornheiser was later reinstated to his position. He apologized to the network and Storm for also saying “Hannah Storm [is dressed in clothes] way too short for somebody in her 40s or maybe early 50s by now.”

SEASIDE HEIGHTS (LALATE) – Snooki is getting married, so claims Jeff Miranda. Miranda’s engagement proposal to Snooki splashes on the “Steppin’ Out” cover this month. Snooki claimed her previous boyfriend was obsessed with fame. Now Jeff Miranda appears on the cover of the magazine in military clothing and no shirt, defending he is not after fame.

Yet, the cover’s caption reads “Jeff Miranda has a question for Snooki – will you Marry Me?”

The copy doesn’t end there. Miranda tells the magazine that Snooki will accept. “I want us to be together forever. I could see us having children. I want to pop the question to her. If we got married we would be the best parents around. She’s so loving and puts everyone else before her self. She’ll be a great mother… I love her and want to be with her. I will never break her heart. She’s such a great girl. If people could see us together they would think we’re a match made in heaven.”

So why is he proposing on the front of a magazine cover? “People think I’m using her for fame. But that’s bull–t.” Do you agree?

“I’m willing to put up with it for Nicole. I just want to be with Nicole and make her happy. I can make her the happiest girl in the world. I have very strong feelings for her.” Strong?

In Kardashian-Odom style, the couple have been dating for just a few weeks. Miranda, who previously denied he is out for fame, said “She is an amazing girl and … I am not making any further comments about Nicole and myself. When the time is right you will be updated.”
