Brandon Spikes Faces Chatroulette Allegations

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Brandon Spikes has yet to comment about the Chatroulette allegations being made by a video tape seller; Spikes has yet to indicate if the video and images posted online are fake or real. The controversy centers around a male and his comparison to Spikes, and a proposed sale of the video to a popular website.
Spikes is the Rookie NFL player for the Patriots; the former Gators star says of himself on twitter “There is only one success–to be able to spend your life in your own way.” So was this one of the ways?
“Just wanted to let you know I’m prob about to sell the tape for 1500. If you guys want to match I’d be happy to send it your way because quite frankly I like deadspin better” wrote a “businessperson” to the popular website Deadspin attempting to sell video footage this week. The website declined.
The seller also adds his thoughts about Major League Baseball into his sales pitch “Nice job putting mlb in their place last week btw.”
Without using a name of the athlete, the seller also writes via email how he’s “uncovered” his tape (aka, found it by watching the website). “I have uncovered a …. tape featuring a prominent 2nd rounder from this year’s NFL draft.”
After Deadspin declined to pay him the fee, the video popped up on a popular video hosting website. Since then, some news sites have assigned their best tattoo analysis reporters to do a bicep-by-bicep comparison of the Spikes and the video star.
Adding to the mix of the peculiar, Deadspin doesn’t reveal the dates of the seller’s comments. But Wikipedia shows that Chatroulette hasn’t existed since August 23. On August 23, the site ended online operations posting a remark “The experiment #1 is over now. Thanks for participating. Renewed and updated version of the website will be launched today.” After August 23, the “today” was replaced with the word “shortly”.
