NEW YORK (LALATE) – The Teresa Giudice nephew has been revealed one day after mention of the nephew caused Giudice to burst into a fight against protagonist Danielle Staub on the Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion.

With Teresa’s explanation about the nephew comes some  explanation why she burst into a fit of terror last night during the Housewives Reunion, part 1. The only true explanation is that Giudice is protective of her family’s privacy. In the hours since LALATE first reported on the fight last night, many of Giudice’s remarks have been clarified while the net, at the same time, has fueled some bizarre theories.

Did Joe have a love child? Did the nephew die? Does Teresa have a mystery nephew she doesn’t see? The answers are all “no”.

It all erupted last night when Danielle Staub asked Teresa, seated directly across from her, “Did you acknowledge your nephew?” While initial reports, including here, thought that Giudice responded “Do not break up my family”, it’s since been clarified that Teresa is shouting at Danielle “Don’t bring up my family”.

Following news reporting the same Tuesday, Giudice took to her blog to confirm she said “bring up” not “break up”. “Do not BRING up my family” not “break up”. Teresa writes today “For the record, I said “Do not BRING up my family” not “break up” – she could never break up my family, but she does need to keep their names out of her mouth.”

Giuidice explains, rightfully so, that with a large Italian family with many “aunts and cousins and in-law”, she tries her best to protect the privacy for those family members who elect not to appear on the show.

So why did Teresa get so angry?

“They deserve their privacy” she explains today. But Teresa goes further to say that, she was not only angry that Staub sought to insert personal information about her family members not on RHNJ into the reunion show, but that Staub was seek to force Teresa to discuss the details of those family members before a television audience while making claims that Teresa ignores the same nephew she welcomed into the world.

“Did you you acknowledge your nephew?” said Staub. Giudice says she was even in the hospital room when he was born.

“In April, my newest nephew was born off camera. (No, not Jacqueline’s baby; Jacq and I are not related.) And no he’s not sick. He’s perfect and beautiful and we’re blessed to have him in our lives. If you all remember, I was scheduled to do the live Bravo Chat Bubble for a Real Housewives of New York episode the night he was born, and I was at the hospital so long, I was late logging in. So, yes, of course I was at the hospital when he was born!”

In the hours before Teresa’s remarks, online comments were going out of control. One wrote “I heard that her nephew is someone who died in an accident last spring.” Another wrote “The nephew is Teresa’s brothers son….  he’s married to Melissa Gorga
a beautiful italian girl. Do your homework people.”

People also found confusion with Teresa’s “don’t bring up that b–h” comment, unsure if she was calling Staub the name another woman. “I have watched the clip quite a few times now and right after Teresa realizes what “nephew” Danielle is referring too; she gets up from the couch and says “don’t bring up that b…h”. The way she says it makes it hard to tell if she is referring to Danielle … or another woman, like the mother of the love child.”

No word if Andy Cohen intends to release a transcript of future Real Housewives reunion.

Teresa never names the nephew, simply saying she did acknowledge him and twittered his arrival with her fans. “Did you see my face, how confused I was? At first, I had no idea what she was talking about because I was there and my 90,000 Twitter followers were kind of at the hospital with me that day too. But then I realized what she was saying – that she had been digging around my extended family and trying to find dirt on me and defame them. And I just had it. I will not stand for that (or sit still anyway).”
