Two Moons on August 27 Warning Email is Fake

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – The “two moons on August 27″ email warning that is causing confusion today is now been responded to by NASA officials and insiders. Every August 27 stargazers are alerted to a possible two moons appearing in the sky; in fact, if true, the U.S. would be in peril suggesting the orbits will suddenly change in the next 24 hours.
The claims are always the same, reports Terra News to moon watchers today. Terra News explains that we first got hints of the two moon fake controversy in August 27, 2003. It also marked the inception of an annual hoax that news sites like Terra have had to dispell each August 27 since. “So, if you want a laugh, go outside on August 27th and count how many of your neighbors fell for the dreaded two moons chain letter.”
In fact, as explained by Jimmy Westlake, if the email alert was correct, “enormous tides would ravage our seacoasts” leaving us in peril. So is tomorrow diffent? No. “Mars is about as far away from the Earth this summer as it can possibly be. “
The closest Mars and Earth have passed in recent times is 34.6 million miles. And even at that distance, all you get is a red star in the sky.
