HYDERABAD, INDIA (LALATE) – Telugu film actress Saira Banu reportedly has been arrested. Saira Banu’s reported arrest with Jyoti and Neelamani was announced by police officials in Hyderabad today. A police task force reportedly claimed to have found the three actors, manly character actress of Telugu films, “red handed” trafficking women through India.

Fans are bothered by the news, yet another scandal to strike the Tollywood film industry. In 2009, Seema was reportedly arrested in the Tarnaka section of Hyderabad. Police Commissioner AK Khan has previously informed local news that his Task Force has been watching as many as sixty “personalities” suspected of illegal activities in the region, a number he says includes many Telugu film actresses.

Saira Banu has reportedly denied any wrongdoing. Saira has served in numerous lead roles in Telugu films while Jyoti is said to be more of a supporting actress in Tollywood projects. Banu and Jyoti are said to have been two of nine arrested by Hyderabad police officials since Saturday. The Commissioner’s Task Force reportedly made Monday’s arrests in an apartment located in Kundan Bangh’s neighborhood.

Manu was reportedly arrested on Saturday and held thereafter. Local news claim Manu reportedly told investigators that she is innocent allegedly stated “I came here to meet a person and talk about a movie offer”.
