Antonio Cromartie Reveals Seven Kids with Six Mothers in Five States

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Antonio Cromartie’s seven kids with six mothers in five states was the subject of news after Monday Night Football this week and HBO’s Hard Knocks.
Cromartie did well on the field for Monday Night Football’s pre-seasoner against the Giants. The former rookie star for the Chargers in 2006 took to the field for two quarters Monday and impressed both Coach Rex Ryan and defensive back Coach Dennis Thurman. The great show by Cromartie was not just on the field but the left corner, a flip for Antonio. A holdout Darrelle Revis prompted the the Jets to push Cromartie into the position. Antonio stepped to the plate, only giving out one pass completion to the Giants in the first half Monay night.
But in handling pass interceptions, Antonino needs lots of work. Rex Ryan teased him after a few errors on pass interception attempts. Meantime, teammates told New York news after Monday’s game that he is easy to play with and his versitility at cornerback helps loosen up the game. While Thurman did urge Cromartie to show more fire on the field, Monday Night showed the blaze starting.
Yet the other issue that confronts Antonio is providing for his kids. The NY Post wrote after Monday’s game “Cromartie, the father of the bump-and-run off the field, provides a roll call of his seven children, which includes a trio of 3-year-olds, from six different mothers.” In March the paper claimed that the Jets had to front $500,000 of her $1.7 million salary this year to “clean up his lingering paternity issues”. The Jets would not confirm nor deny the report. The Paper indicated that players don’t get their salary checks until the first week of the regular season.
Cromartie, 25, is entering his final year of a five year $12 million contract. In March, before a court date in California, Antonio admitting the challenge in parenting he faces. “I have seven kids in five different states. I made some wrong decisions my first two years in the NFL, and now I have to take that responsibility to be a father. I need to deal with my kids and child-support issues. Those things are being taken care of. I’m going to be the best father to them that I can.”
Below is video from the HBO show on the matter.
