BOSTON (LALATE) – The Megan McAllister Philip Markoff wedding website revealed in 2009 a key date, critical for Saturday’s suicide. Megan-Philip.com is no longer a live website. But in 2009, LALATE screengrabs of the content of the website, quickly removed offline after Markoff’s arrrest, revealed Markoff and McAllister were to marry August 14, 2009. Philip Markoff killed himself last night, exactly one year after he was to marry Megan.
The couple wrote in 2009 that this was to be their special day. They listed three key dates in their life. “First Date: 11/11/2005, Engagement Date: 5/17/2008, Wedding Date: 8/14/2009″.
“We met while going to college at University at Albany together. Megan was a senior and Phil was a sophomore. Our apartment buildings were right next door and we didn’t even know it until we met one day at the hospital. We both started volunteering at the hospital on September 19, 2005. We volunteered at the Emergecy Room together and spent about 2 months pushing stretchers down hallways and bringing blood and urine samples to pathology together before our first date on November 11, 2005!!”

The couple even posted online the hotel reservations and pricing information for their wedding. “Thanks for visiting our webpage! We have reserved 20 rooms at the Sheraton Eatontown so please call or follow the link online and mention the McAllister/Markoff Wedding and you will get a $155 rate for Friday, Aug. 14th. This is a great rate for the Jersey Shore on the weekend. They will only allow you to book rooms for this rate under our name until July 3rd, 2009 so please book your rooms!! Info is under accomodations. Also, we have changed our registries. We are now registered at Macy*s, Williams-Sonoma and Pottery Barn so please visit the registry page which include the links! When you purchase gifts through Macy’s Registry, Macy’s will make a donation to The March of Dimes, our charity of choice (which is very special to us!) Thank you!! We look forward to spending our special day with you. Megan and Phil.”
Days after Phillip’s arrest, LALATE wrote “While Megan and Phil’s love for each other may last forever, their server didn’t. Gone is their beautiful flash wedding website today, replaced by an ugly … links page.” By April 29, Megan released the following statement about Phillip’s arrest:
“In the past two short weeks, my life and what I hoped my life to be has dramatically changed. I want to thank my family and my friends who have supported me during this very difficult time. Without them, I do not know how I could make it through this nightmare. I hope they know that I love each and every one of them. I also love my fiancé and I will continue to support him throughout this legal process. My heart goes out to all of those afflicted by these events, especially the families and individuals who have personally suffered from this tragedy.
“It is my intent to full cooperate with my fiancé’s attorney as well as, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office as they both continue their investigations. I can only tell them what I know and what is the truth. I will expect that these discussions will occur within the next several days.

“What has been portrayed and leaked to the media is not the Philip Markoff that I know. To me and my family, he is a loving and caring person and in the eyes of the law and constitution, he is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. I just can only hope that the criminal justice system will not be overwhelmed and persuaded by what is being put forth in the media. My fiancé’s fate should not rest in the court of public opinion, but rather in a court of law.”
