LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Paula Cook claims Antwaun Cook (pictures below) and Fantasia Barrino had an affair and made a tape. Fantasia Barrino’s Antwaun Cook denials have reportedly existed since January 2010 far before Paula Cook filed for divorce from Antwaun.

Yet the lining up Fantasia Barrino’s differing statements between when pictures of her and Antwaun Cook hit the net in January 2010 and today shows a particular progression.

The Paula Cook, Fantasia Barrino and Antwaun Cook allegations are not new this week. The net has seen the allegations since January. Net reports in January are consistent with Paula Cook’s allegations in her divorce filing against Antwaun last week. Paula claims Fantasia Barrino pursued her husband during his marriage, allegedly starting in August 2009 and continuing until the couple separated.

Paula Cook cliams ” beginning in August 2009 and continuing until the parties’ separation, Defendant Husband has engaged in illicit… behavior which was not condoned by Plaintiff Wife and has offered such indignities to the person of Plaintiff Wife so as to render her condition intolerable and her life burdensome.”

Paula Cook claims Antwaun and Fantasia kept their relationship very open to the public during their alleged affair.  She claims Antwaun “associated with a woman, Fantasia Bariino … wherein upon information and belief has failed to exercise restraint and judgment relative to his marital status and instead frequents bars, restaurants, nightclubs, and the like with such person on a regular basis.”

In Janauary, the net first heard the allegations and Barrino first allegedly responded. Then Barrino was pictured on holiday with Antwaun. Paula Cook claimed her husband had met Barrino at his place of work in a T-Mobile store in North Carolina back in August 2009.  Barrino’s alleged response in January was that you can’t believe what you read. Barrino reportedly in January said the following:

“I am 25 years old babe. I have friends. Very nice looking friends….. You can’t believe everything you hear. If it’s up to everything you’ve heard, I’d would have had five kids, married three times, illiterate, house in foreclosure. You can’t believe everything you hear so watch the show and you get to hear it from the horses mouth.”

“… Yes, [the rumors] were all really cute to me. I guess it was something about a guy from T-Mobile? Inaccurate. He was hot, but I think I’m looking for my own man. There’s no boo in my life, I’m married to my career. ” “… As a matter of fact, I’ve never even [met him] before. I think I’d want to be with a guy who’s in the same tax bracket as I am … or higher!”

When news hit of Paula Cook’s divorce filing naming her as Antwaun’s alleged mistress, Barrino issued a statement. The statement said merely the following:  “Fantasia will weather this storm with the dignity and grace that she has exemplified throughout a life in which she has repeatedly overcome obstacles and challenges. Fantasia’s faith in God, herself and family remain as strong as ever.” “Mrs. Cook gratuitously included claims about Fantasia to sensationalize that litigation and to insure that her tale would be picked up by tabloids. The fact that she would seek such publicity in a case involving her children is particularly disgraceful.”

Now, one year after Paula Cook claims Barrino started having an affair with her husband, and eight months after Barrino allegedly denied even dating Antwaun, Barrino issued the following statement:

“Fantasia has always been an open book. Honesty, self-respect, and personal responsibility are values she wears proudly. Fantasia believed Mr. Cook when he told her he was not happy in his marriage and his heart was not in it. She believed him when he told her he and Mrs. Cook separated in the late summer of 2009. She believed Mr. Cook when he told her he lived elsewhere.”

Paula Cook claims that Barrino allegedly told her about Antwaun “He don’t want you. Maybe the next time that you get a husband you’ll know how to keep him. That’s why he is here with me.”
