Sources: Brett Favre Retires – Brett Favre Retirement Uncertain

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – News sources claim Brett Favre will retire, yet Favre’s own retirement confirmation hasn’t been given. Brett Favre retirement news went into overdrive Tuesday with claims that Favre was set to announce his retirement and not begin another season.
Yet, Favre has not confirmed the retirement as true. Moreover, insiders contend that, even if Favre does retire this month, this still may not be a final retirement.
Quickly press was able to pull the “I don’t believe it until I hear it” quotes across the league. Redskins Coach Mike Shanahan was on top of that list. “I’ve got to see it before I’ll believe it….Playing against him, I hated it. But I appreciated the times he gave everybody. Good luck with this, with his retirement and career now.”
There are some who are certain Favre will return. Among them, Bears DT Tommie Harris. “I think he’ll be back. I know him.”
But many contend that Favre-alerts should not be sounded until several weeks closer to the season. It’s too pre-mature, claims Joe Namath like many others. “Too much time left before season begins to take Farve’s retirement seriously.” People are even watching Favre’s whereabouts. Adam Schefter: “Vikings ownership in their annual training camp meeting this morning. Brett Favre has not been home. No confirmation from either side yet.”
