LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Montana Fishburne tells local news that doesn’t credit herself “Chippy-D” nor “Laurence Fishburne’s daughter” in a new video tape sparking controversy. But Montana Fishburne, who does use the names “Chippy-D” or “Chip-D” reportedly and has recorded video interviews with friends having names like “J-Pipes”and “Bling Man”, says she knows exactly what she is doing with her career.
But does she?
It’s one of the more peculiar celebrity news revelations this week in which the daughter of Laurence Fishburn justifies her career decision because she was “impatient about getting well-known” and in which she cites Kim Kardashian as her inspiration.

Montana Fishburne doesn’t tell local news what type of career path she is contemplating with her film distribution deal Friday. “It wasn’t a goal, but it was a step in a direction.” What direction that is Montana doesn’t explain.
That “direction” is what is sparking Hollywood reaction Friday. Laurence Fishburne has not commented on his daughter’s “goal” or “step”. Yet Chippy-D says the camera loves her. The question remains whether film-goers will agree. “You’re on camera… the camera loves me, I love the camera. … I have confidence in what I do” says Montana.

Montana Fishburne hints that perhaps a world of reality tv is what she is planning with this “step” in her career. In fact, Montana Fishburne says Kim Kardashian isn’t famous for much of anything except her tape. “I’ve watched how successful Kim Kardashian became and I think a lot of it was due to the release of her … tape.”
But unlike fellow tape-stars of recent memory, Fishburne admits to orchestrating her deal. Yet, what exactly does someone else in her industry think of Montana’s career choice? Other industry friends says they communicate with God. “I communicate with God. Even though some people feel [films] and God don’t go together, and that’s not righteous. But I don’t look at it like that. I’m making an honest living. I’m not out in the streets harming anyone. I’m having fun with what I do and I’m successful at it. I thank God for his blessings. That’s it. It’s real simple. I thank him for me being healthy, alive and strong and finding a career that I enjoy. I’m really grateful for being in the business. Life couldn’t be any better.”
While initial reports claimed that Montana Fishburne was to be credited in the tape as “Chippy-D”, such is not the case. She is crediting herself and promoting herself in the video as a Fishburne. She takes her real name on the video self entitled simply “Montana Fishburne” with the caption that she is an A-list daughter. Montana appears in a leather jacket on the video’s cover that hints Fishburne’s promotional shots for the Matrix.
But Montana’s notable remark is that she is doing this because she is “impatient” about becoming famous. Impatient?
“I’m hoping the same magic will work for me. I’m impatient about getting well-known and having more opportunities and this seemed like a great way to get started on it.” Her distributor says he believes she will be a huge success. “When we first met, we were impressed with not just her beauty, but how self-possessed she is.”
