ATLANTA (LALATE) – Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann are reportedly dating. Kroy Biermann (pictures below) is no Big Pappa aka Lee Najjar but Kroy was a fifth round pick by the Falcons in 2008.

Kroy Biermann and Zolciak dating reports heat up news today after seasons of Kim hinting she was to marry Big Pappa (Big Poppa). While not confirmed by Zolciak, spies tell In Touch that “They’ve been dating for about two months” and that the two attended the Real Housewives of Atlanta weedding of Cynthia Bailey last Saturday. Cynthia Bailey is the new cast member for RHOFA. The difference with Kroy? He’s 24.

Kroy is 6′3″, 260-pound, and a defensive end who reportedly was “laughing, kissing and have a great time together” with Kim last weekend. Kim was previous linked to DJ Tracy Young by one publication. Zolciak said at the time “I don’t believe love has a gender. I have a ton of girlfriends who have been with girls, and I could never comprehend that before….

In 2009, Kim revealed a sudden reconciliation with Big Poppa. After being dropped off at Kandi Burruss’ home, Kim Z revealed then she and Big Poppa were back together. In a later scene, Kim said she got the “surprise of her life” – Big Poppa popped the big question … and she said yes (of course). Kandi says “it’s hard to find a good friend”.

But that, of course, is just tv. No comment by either to the report.

WEST LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – A small brush fire in the Pacific Palisades today affected air quality in Brentwood, West Los Angeles, and parts of Santa Monica.

The brushfire today in the Pacific Palisades blew ash air as far as the 405 Freeway at Sunset Boulevard shortly after 1:30 PM PST. The fire started at 1 PM in the 15200 block of West De Paw Street. Three water-dropping helicopters aided the blaze. The fire was just a few blocks south west of the Pacific Palisades Branch Library, south of Sunset, west of Chautauqua, and east of Via De La Paz.

LAFPD is reporting the incident as a grass fire. While local news is reporting no structures are threatened, LAFPD’s incident news report issued at 1:48 PM PST says otherwise. It reads “15272 W De Pauw St Firefight continues. Addl FF requested. Structures threatened but not damaged. No injuries.”

No update by LAFPD has been issued since.

LOUISVILLE (LALATE) – Witnesses say Karen Sypher consented to relations with Rick Pitino. Karen Sypher’s extortion trial began with several witnesses giving testimony today that Karen Sypher consented to relations with Rick Pitino; she claims he forced himself on her.

Today’s testimony focused on details of the relations at Porcini Restaurant. Rick Pitino told the jury that Karen Cunagin Sypher allegedly unzipped his pants in that empty restaurant on July 31, 2003 following a day of golf. Pitino said he bought Karen Cunagin Sypher a drink and the two chatted after the restaurant closed. Pitino says that, when he motioned to leave, Karen Cunagin Sypher unzipped his pants and the two had relations “very briefly”. He said “Unfortunate things happen”.

Pitino’s driver Vinnie Tatum said today Sypher was “flirty”. But he was behind a brick half wall 15 feet away when the event unfolded.  Tatum said “I didn’t see anything that happened on the other side of the bar.” Bartender Melissa Brent said Sypher was dressed in a small white top and small skirt and tried to “edge herself into the scene.”

Pitino later testified about potential extortion threats. “I just got sick to my stomach with what was on the telephone. I said somebody is about ready to blackmail me. We’ve got to get to the bottom of who that is.”

In January 2010, Pitino said about the case: “If you all showed up thinking I am resigning you are going to be disappointed. On the day Ted Kennedy died we broke into news here in Louisville with Karen Sypher tapes….Believe me I will suffer for that mistake. My wife and children should not suffer for these lies, and believe me these are lies.”

University of Louisville president James Ramsey issued the following statement in 2010: “Several months ago, Coach Pitino informed me about the alleged extortion attempt. I’ve now been informed that there may be other details which, if true, I find surprising”.

KERNVILLE, CA (LALATE) – Kern Fire says the Bull Fire is now only 5% contained. The Bull Fire is still advancing fast, reports Kern Fire to local news, taking 6 structures so far and having burned 15,586 acres.

In one day, the Bull Fire has grown from 5,042 acres to three times that size. That was despite 700 personnel responding. The Governor will speak about the Bull Fire to local news within the hour. A shelter remains in place at the Lake Isabella Senior Center, 6405 Lake Isabella Blvd.

Road closures are at Mountain Highway 99 from Kernville to Fairview; Cherry Hill Rd and Horse Meadow are closed; and Burlando Road is closed to locals only. Kern Fire tells news that has increased its ground force, from 200 on Monday to 500 yesterday to now 700 today. Kern Fire’s battle of the blaze was being aided with 7 water dropping helicopters and 7 air tankers.

Responding forces on scene are Kern County Fire, Bureau of Land Management, and US Forest Service.
