BOGOTA, COLOMBIA NOTICIAS (LALATE) – Un temblor, un terremoto de fuerza moderada, de 5,0 puntos en la escala Richter, estremeció hoy la zona de Bogota, Colombia hoy.

Un temblor estremeció cerca de Girardot, Ibaque, Armenia, y Bogota hoy. The earthquake hit roughly 24 miles south west of Girardot, 3 miles south east of Ibaque, and 80 miles west south west of Bogota.

The terremoto was of relative depth – 39 miles below the earth’s surface. The earthquake hit at 2:34 PM local time today. USGS mapping shows that the quake was west of highway 45, south west of where highway 40 and 45 intersect. The quake was centered near Las Mercedes, close to Saldana, Guamo, in the mountain region of Chicaumbe.

There are no reports of injury currently. Later today, a 3.2 earthquake hit Baja Mexico and 2.6 earthquake struck Maine.
