LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Katherine Connors Miss Iowa 2010 is not pleased with Miguel Batista’s comments. Katherine Connors Miss Iowa may have gotten an apology from Batista yesterday but today she is pitching it right back at Batista in round 2 of the Beauty and The Batista feud.

Despite a prompt delivery of flowers, Connors told press today she is not happy with Batista’s remarks about her (and by implication her state). It all started when Batista was booed by fans Tuesday after he was announced as Stephen Strasburg’s replacement. Batista told news reporters afterwards: “People started booing me, and they hadn’t seen me throw a pitch yet.” (The game had gone five innings with no score.) “It’s like you hear Miss Iowa, and you say, ‘Iowa?’ And then you see her up close and you say, ‘Wow, she’s gorgeous.’ “

Thereafter, he apologized and told news of his delivery of flowers. “Hopefully they get there today.” Connors’ reaction? Connors told the Des Moines Register, “I know I can throw a pitch or two! The question is, can Miguel Batista walk the runway in a swimsuit?”
