Ian Benardo American Idol Audition Lawsuit

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Ian Benardo audition for American Idol is the subject of a new lawsuit. Ian Benardo’s audition tape for American Idol (and yes, he also auditioned for So You Think You Can Dance as well) has remained one of the most watched videos on YouTube for worse Idol audition.
Now, suddenly years later, Ian Benardo has filed a complaint with the NY State Equal Employment Opportunity Commission allegedly wrongly conduct by American Idol in 2006 and 2010. Ian Benardo claims he was coach by the show for his 2006 audition and told to act up. He claims the show additionally invited him to return for the 2010 conclusion, that agreed to return, and again was coached to be outrageous. Bernardo claims Dane Cook threatened him.
It remains unclear why Benardo is citing issues with the 2006 audition, but returned in 2010 to the show and is now pursuing the action this month. Oh, and yes, Bernardo is asking for $300 million in damages.
