LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – The Brickyard 400 starting lineup is set for today. The Brickyard 400 starting lineup has Juan Pablo Montoya in the Target Chevy winning the pole position. He’s followed by Jimmie Johnson in the Lowe’s Chevy, Mark Martin in the GoDaddy Chevy, and Jamie McMurray in the Bass Pro Shops Chevy. Ryan Newman next fills the field with the Haas Automation Chevy and Clint Bowyer in the WHeaties Fuel Chevy.
The first non Chevy in the field is Greg Biffle in the 3M Ford. Favorite Jeff Gordon follows in the DuPont Chevy, Kevin Harvick in the Shell Chevy, Jeff Burton in the Prilosec Chevy, and Brad Keslowski in the Penske Dodge.
Johnson says of this field the following “I think we were the best car last year. I think Juan and the team did a great job getting up front and were in clean air. Yes, Juan was fast in clean air, but when he got mired in traffic, he couldn’t go anywhere. Not taking a shot at Juan, but I’m really proud of what we did last year.”
