LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Penelope Cruz is not pregnant, says her rep to local news. Penelope Cruz pregnant reports hit early Wednesday after overnight reports that Cruz and Javier Bardem married in June.

Initial reports in one magazine said the couple are already expecting their first child and that the “couple wanted to get married before their baby arrives next year.”

Late today, Cruz’s rep confirms to Los Angeles news that she is not pregnant, but is shooting Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. “It’s not exactly the kind of movie you want to be doing if you’re pregnant” said the rep.

The couple married last month at a friend’s home in the Bahamas. Cruz wore a stunning John Galliano dress.
