NEW YORK (LALATE) – UPDATE. Robert Bobby Spillane died because of a window screen. Robert Bobby Spillane was found dead on a New York street by his brother Michael after falling Saturday morning.
Local news now reports that 45 year old Robert Bobby Spillane, an actor and screenwriter, had use of only one arm at the time of his accidental fall. Spillane was said to have had one arm in a sling.
Bobby reportedly went to an open window of his Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood apartment near Times Square Saturday morning. There he reportedly used his other hand to lean against the screen of an open window to shout down to street level at his brother Michael. The window screen immediately gave way with Bobby falling to his death in front of his brother.
Spillane was the son of 1960s and 1970s Irish mob boss Mickey Spillane.Â Bobby was an actor and screenwriter; his acting credits spanned tv and film and writing credits including a 2004-sold screenplay to Adam Sandler.
