HAVANA (LALATE) – IMAGENES. New rare pictures show Fidel Castro in public. Fidel Castro appears in the images, his first of 2010, after visiting a scientific think tank. These are the first phtoso of Castro since getting sick four years ago.
The pictures released by Cubadebate, the state-run media website, show the 83 year old in good health during his visit to the National Center for Scientific Investigation in Havana. Reports date the pictures last Wednesday.
Castro looks to be in a good mood, even laughing. The pictures were taken by an unidentified worker at the facility and then released by Cuban-run news agency.
Employees at the Center weren’t freely able to walk up to Castro. The worker / photographer is said to have emailed them to other local journalists like Norelys Morales.
