BANGKOK (LALATE) – A major earthquake has hit India. News of an India earthquake near the Nicobar Islands shortly after 1 am local time Sunday registering a magnitude 7.5

While the earthquake struck in a less populated region, its depth of only 22 miles caused it to be felt from Bangkok to New Delhi. The earthquake was north west of Singapore, west of Ho Chi Minh City and Bangkok and could be felt significantly in Banglaore and Dacca.
